beatmaker44
hello everybody! I am a bit of a newbie and would like some help please. I would like to create an effect and am not sure the best way to go about it. If you had a long synth note playing, I would like to turn the volume on and off in order to make a stuttering effect. Now I know I could just automate the volume, which I have done, but this is taking quite a bit of time, and also when I finish the effect the synth sounds different from before. I'll keep at it but I was wondering if there is a better way. Beatmaker44
David Nahmani
You could use the scissors to slice up your Audio Region. Remember Option+Scissors is the "slice" tool, which slices up the whole Region into equal length slices. Another thing you can have fun with is inserting a "gate" plug-in and trigger it with a track that contains some sort of rythmic material (like an Apple Loop for example!). coreyhollywood
The easyest way to do that be to use a squarewave type LFO from the setting to control the volume. You could do this if you were using the ES2. There is probably a way to do it on a wave file too but Id have to mess around to figure it out...
