jimdilian Posted March 18, 2019 Share Posted March 18, 2019 (edited) I have more than 2000 plugins..and Logic Pro X takes.. a life time to Open up.. been Logic Pro X the Creator of "AU" other Daws like "Reaper" or even "Ableton Live" loads in seconds... much much much Faster.. I don't know what is wrong there.. ableton and reaper I only use "AU" and it starts so Fast.. and logic.. takes so much time..it should be the opposite ... been Logic Pro X like the Father of AU. by Apple. <p>more Than a "PROJECT" startup.. I mean ... Logic Pro X Startup.. from the point it is close.. to the point Logic Pro X has finished loading up.</p> <p>not.. the Projects loading.. that works fine.. and pretty fast. it is the startup of logic that takes a lot of time.</p> <p>Of course that it is because my larch arsenal of plugins .. but Studio One and Reaper.. starts up much much faster.. the one that loads faster it is Reaper.</p> <p> </p> <p>so I think.. AU is for Apple only.. OSX. so why another DAWS .. like reaper .. or studio one.. using only AU's or even .. Of course that it is because my larch arsenal of plugins .. but Studio One and Reaper.. starts up much much faster.. the one that loads faster it is Reaper. so I think.. AU is for Apple only.. I suppose a 'DON"T SCAN AU"S switch on Start up would do the trick.. My other music apps that use AU's scans them too, and some apps are noticeably slow than Logic. Myself, I use Reaper alongside Logic at the moment, and that is lightning quick startup but projects can take a bit of time to load. \n\u00a0 \nStudio One also does a lot of scanning on startup, so i don\u0027t see why Logic should be any slower. How long is the startup for you - you say a life time, could you provide an appoximation in seconds/minutes? If project load time, then yes, projects can take a LONG time to load up in Logic. But it will be directly related to the number of plugins that exist in that project, not installed as a whole. Logic Pro X Startup.. from the point it is close.. to the point Logic Pro X has finished loading up. \nnot.. the Projects loading.. that works fine.. and pretty fast. it is the startup of logic that takes a lot of time. \nOf course that it is because my larch arsenal of plugins .. but Studio One and Reaper.. starts up much much faster.. the one that loads faster it is Reaper. \n\u00a0 \nso I think.. AU is for Apple only.. OSX. so why another DAWS .. like reaper .. or studio one.. using only AU\u0027s or even ..
