LosingLight
Hey all - I've seen versions of this asked but after searching I can't find an answer. I'm using Logic 10.5.1 and a Tascam Model 12 mixer/interface. I've got some tracks recorded I'd like to pan to various sides and bounce around the stereo field using automation. When I use the pan pots in Logic while listening through the mixer as the output the track goes silent when I pan hard right. Looking at the mixer, there are levels on the right channel, but I hear nothing. This happens on all tracks. I have plugged headphones directly into the computer and the pan pot works as it should: pan hard right, hear only right headphone and vise versa. All of this indicates to me that I seem to be outputting only the left channel(although I hear it in both speakers and both headphones plugged into the mixer) from my Model 12 and it isn't an issue with Logic. However, I can't figure out where this mystery setting I need to change for the Model 12 or my computer may be. It's connected via USB C the a Macbook pro running Catalina, if it makes a difference. Screen shots showing a couple of solo'd tracks. One panned hard right. Any help would be appreciated.
triplets
One panned hard right Not very common to pan a stereo source all the way to the right. Defeats the purpose of stereo. Make the track mono first, and you should hear the hard panning.
LosingLight
Thanks for the reply. The mix won’t be panned hard right - just saying that and posting the screenshot to illustrate what’s happening with the signal hoping someone can use that info the answer. I said stereo source, not mix. One of your solo'ed tracks in the screenshot is a stereo track panned all the way to the right. What's the point in that? To show that there are levels in the mixer when doing so, but I still hear no audio. If I’ve offended you I’m sorry. Just looking for help with the question. triplets
Does the Tascam have its own mixer software?
