dissonance
Would the base specs version of the 2019 Mac Pro Desktop that I see here in the "build my mac" page be able to handle basically any amount of audio plugins in Logic X I throw at it in projects, including many vintage hardware emulators, CPU-intensive synthesizers, and other plugins? My current desktop is the 2010 Mac Pro with 2.4GHz 8-core with 12GB memory, and it starts not being able to playback anything without instnatly CPU overloading once I get to a certain level of content in my projects. The current default 2019 Mac Pro is a 3.5GHz 8‑core Intel Xeon W processor with 36gb memory. Would this more than double the amount of plugin processing power and capacity? triplets
To give you an idea, I compared the Geekbench scores of your old Mac Pro, with the base MP you mentioned, and a 2019 27-inch iMac, which is less then half price. https://everymac.com/ultimate-mac-comparison-chart/?compare=all-intel-macs&highlight=0&prod1=MacPro018&prod2=MacPro041&prod3=iMacIntel083
