fisherking
am working on 2 songs, need to do simple, arpeggiated-type guitar parts (so no death metal solos or 'real' strumming). any recommendations for a good plugin?

triplets
his is a guitar, not a guitar effect? Oh I see, you want the computer to play the part. Then never mind.
fisherking
actually, i want to play the part (the computer will just record what i play). anyway, there are a number of plugins out there, just wondering what people use, or prefer... triplets
So if you actually gonna play it, then I keep my choice of the Logic Legacy plugin.
fisherking
So if you actually gonna play it, then I keep my choice of the Logic Legacy plugin. i want to play the part on a keyboard... so i still need a guitar-simulation plugin. then, i can check out that effect. fisherking
been comparing (amplesound, NI, musiclab, etc), and just downloaded the amplesound les paul demo... will see how that goes. if anyone is using any of these plugins (or something else), would still love some suggestions. thanx! fisherking
the amplesounds "guitar LP" (a les paul, more or less), sounds really good, has some nice 'humanizing' options, and is doing what i need it to do (all this without a pick). bought! and am back to work. still open, tho to hear what others use.... thx
Ashermusic
Look at the guitars from Indiginus and Pettinhouse.
fisherking
Look at the guitars from Indiginus and Pettinhouse. thanks! both sound good, and both are cheaper than the amplesounds guitar. but, i already bought that, plus i don't have kontakt installed. so all is well (i bookmarked both, in case...) MikeRobinson
But also check out the various "guitar stomp-boxes!" The actual sound of an electric guitar – is the sound of a string, which is actually pretty close to a sine-wave. The sound that you hear,, then, is the combined product of the little doo-dads at the guitarist's feet. (Which bands such as "U2" have elevated to a fine art.) fisherking
the amplesounds plugin has several good amps, and logic is full of pedals and amps. i work with a couple guitarists (am producing an 'infamous rock legend' currently), so... i get it. just wanted to keep this project in-house. but thank you!
