Wilsonwel
Hi fellow Logic-users I will soon buy a new MacBook Pro for recording, mixing and mastering in Logic, but my question is which spec is the most important one? Right new I have found one with 1,4 Ghz Quadcore i5 (not sure if it is turbo to 3,6) 16 gb RAM and 256 gb SSD. Is this enough? And if not, then which of the categories should I prefer to upgrade? Hope you understand my question and can help me, because right now I'm mixing on a early 2015 MacBook Air, so I would love a better Mac! triplets
At least quad-core, stay away from dual-cores. The one you mentioned should be much better than your current Air. Try to get a 512 SSD if you can. 256 will fill up faster than you think. Wilsonwel
OOh, I don't know if my replay got sendt, so I I'll try again:) So 1,4 Ghz Quadcore i5 should be enough? I can upgrade it to 1,7 Ghz quadcore i7, but then I well downgrade to 8 gb RAM to still be within my budget:)
triplets
I would stay at 16 gigs of Ram, not much difference between the i5 and i7 on this model.
