SSDT3
I'm configuring my new Roland A-300 Pro controller with reasonable success after a bit of struggle but although they display and function properly in the Arrange window, the coloured Control Surface Bars in Mixer window are missing - (the menu item to show them is ticked). Track Faders, Transport buttons and plugin Smart controls are ok (no they're great actually). I can manage ok without but curious as to why they're not showing - only grey strip which doesn't move. - I'm only using the Logic Auto Assign after problems with the (old) Roland APRO Control Surface Plugin which seemed to work till there was a Kernel Panic shutdown. I'm not sure if its properly uninstalled as the supplied uninstaller was greyed out (32 bit?) Best Dave Logic 10.5.
Atlas007
I would contact Roland support to ensure proper un-installation and re-installation procedures with up to date drivers.
SSDT3
That's probably wise in view of the kernel panic, even though things are generally running well now. I was doubtful Roland would be helpful considering the age of the A series - but then again the driver is for OSX 10.15. Thanks
SSDT3
I decided to return the A-300 and have ordered a Nektar T4. The main reason for the switch is the lack of software support because of the age of the unit. My problem of the missing coloured Control Surface Bars in Mixer window was solved simply by creating a new Logic Project. It hasn't been a complete waste of time as I now have a much better understanding of the Controller Assignments window - see viewtopic.php?t=55301 which has enabled me to get my 16 yo microKontrol back in action while I wait for the new arrival. Looking forward to the Nektar experience.
