Using IPad synths in Logic Pro X

Recommended Posts

Greetings All!

I would like to incorporate IM1 sounds (on iPad) in Logic sessions. I have: Apogee ensemble (thunderbolt) interface...m audio axiom air 25 controller keyboard (with midi in/out...MacBook Pro (2016)...using Logic Pro X (10.3)...IPad 4 (thunderbolt).

I just don't know for sure how to connect it all to both record and use the sounds of IM1 on my MacBook and into logic. I have though, discovered that I should include an 'IRig' midi connector.

Can U help me with the schematics?

Giving thanks in advance!

There are apps that allow audio and midi to be streamed down the ipad charging/usb cable.

I currently have both of these. I bought studiomux to replace musicIO (was having issues, and not getting anywhere with support). I haven't got around to using studiomux yet, but it seems to be the better, and easier, of the two. Anyway, better you do your own research:

There are also these to consider. They have both midi and audio interfaces available

Either way, I don't see any need (from the details you've given), as to why you'd need a midi interface  :)

Let us know how you get on
