egbert18
Hello, I (stupidly) purchased Mackeeper which has completely killed logic pro 9. The advice I have received so far is to uninstall everything and reinstall from the dvd's. Please would you confirm this for me and if so, please would you explain the process as there appears to be various files everywhere. Many thanks
zakkleifeste
I can't confirm it but here is the thread about uninstalling. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=30524
egbert18
Thanks a lot, zakkleifeste. That looks unbelievably scary. I can't believe what an absolute nightmare a £40 program has caused. Devasted. I'm just worried that I'm going to spend hours further ruining it all!
zakkleifeste
Do you have a time machine backup before you installed Mackeeper?
triplets
Thanks a lot, zakkleifeste. That looks unbelievably scary. I can't believe what an absolute nightmare a £40 program has caused. Devasted. I'm just worried that I'm going to spend hours further ruining it all! All this "windows-type" utilities for the mac are all pointless. They create more damage than leaving the computer alone.
egbert18
Thanks again for your help. I only needed to trash the top section ( i.e. apps) from the thread you gave me. And then the full logic studio re install has worked a treat. To answer your earlier question, no I don't have a time machine back up because I am a total idiot. But I will do soon! Thanks again!
