Christopher11
I am having great luck with an exotic percussion patch in Ultrabeat. However, although most of the instruments I'm using in this beat sound perfect, I want to lower the pitch of the kick drum. Can you tell me how? Thank you. des99
The Ultrabeat UI has full parameters for it's sample playback and synth engine. I've no idea what sounds you want to tune, whether they are samples, synthesised, or both, but the oscillator Pitch control is shown and discussed in the manual here: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/logicpro/lgsie966bef0/10.7/mac/11.0 Edited January 16, 2022 by des99

It depends on the patch and the specific kick drum sound? Each patch, and each individual voice in Ultrabeat may be a sum of multiple oscillators, the noise generator, etc. Each one of those has its own pitch controls. If you are not successful with des99's link, then let us know which patch and which voice you want to tune.
Christopher11
Hey, thank you guys so much. Such a great forum. It is called Asian, in Drum Kits. The sample I want to tune is C1, a Taiko drum sample. Please find screenshot below.
Solution David Nahmani Posted January 16, 2022 Solution Share Posted January 16, 2022 Hey, thank you guys so much. Such a great forum. It is called Asian, in Drum Kits. The sample I want to tune is C1, a Taiko drum sample. Please find screenshot below. So only the oscillator at the bottom is playing the sample, try to drag that Pitch slider? Christopher11
Whoa, did it ever! Thank you David, and des99, truly appreciated. I had actually discovered that slider, and was sliding it earlier, but it was for an oscillator above, which isn't even active, lol. So, lesson well learned. Thank you again. Christopher11
I think it's very interesting that it eems to tune to pitches, rather than just half steps, and gives you the exact frequency of the pitch. I get it with tympani but hadn't expected taiko to be tuned so precisely. It's great though, because it was the tonic of this piece, B, that originally made me want to tune it.
