paulsoffe
Hi am just setting up logic on my recently acquired air macbook 2015 and wondered if anyone could advise me on the best early ipad that can run the new remote app.i have an old ipad that isn't supported Thanks
facej
Simple answer is the latest iPad base model - $330 USD - I don't see any refurbished ones from Apple. 3rd party sellers have 2017 vintage iPads at about $250. I wouldn't bet the $80 to get a 4 year old iPad.
paulsoffe
thanks for your advice. looking at a couple of 2017 models so thanks again. I will be using a recent aquired MacBook Air A1466 13.3" Core I5 2015 . NOw i also could get hold of an Apple MacBook Pro 13 “ 2015, dual core intel i5 for more or less the same price. If you had to chose , which one would you go for for running logic? Hope you dont mind me adding to the original question. Thanks Paul

enossified
Logic Remote requires iPadOS 14 or later. That means All iPad Pro models, iPad 5th generation or newer, iPad mini 4 or newer, iPad Air 3rd generation or newer, iPad Air 2 or newer. paulsoffe
Yes thank you I managed to get a 2017 ipad immac condition for £125 He sold it at the price due to battery lasting 30-60 mins BUT I use it for several hours no probs My brother is an electronic engineer and he thinks if hadn't used the ipad for along time, it is possible it would for a short time not charge correctly
