Stop Input monitoring auto-lower fader

When using my laptop mic for demo vox or something, and I hit the input monitoring the fader autiomatically dims to 24 db. I understand safety, but is there a way to cancel this? It's pretty annoying when recording on the same track and it just throws the volume fader and doesn't go back to normal

Hey thanks for the response. I did :( I think it's a safety thing to avoid feedback but... C'mon were professionals xD it just seriously throws my work flow off and I'm considering writing the volume on the track name for when I hit the input monitoring I won't forget the volume I had it in

I don’t have that behaviour here on my system.

Do you have an interface? This behaviour only happens when I use the microphone input of my laptop with no interface. It lowers it to -24 db I do have an older version of logic X, my OS can't handle the newer update. this might have been fixed

What if you plug in a headphone? Yes i think the laptop/logic is trying to prevent feedback.
