Notator crossed my path in 1989 or 1990. I had made a connection for a friend who wanted to buy a sequencer setup, and I knew someone who was selling Notator on an Atari. It was my first time seeing midi in action, as he had it going multitimberly through a sound module. I remember it was playing Eleanor Rigby, and I asked him if he'd done the parts himself. Liar!
For me it was The Final Cut, which even though it was signed "Pink Floyd" was really Roger Waters solo work. After that I kinda lost track .. and interest.
The "Ca Ira" box set includes a DVD with a "making of" documentary. In that film Waters is shown in front of a Logic piano roll editor window, demonstrating how the opera's orchestration was sketched out.

Sure, he might have only had dealings with them, hence the misunderstanding…
I'm sure that's what it is, yes.
I do remember that if you cranked the manual open back then, even if you had the english translation, it was littered with german words left untranslated. Not to mention the Klopfgeist.
As far as I can remember there's always been some kind of signs that Logic was made in Germany... viewtopic.php?t=97059

I probably was, yes. But his music definitely soothed me.

I give the Floyd 'second fave band status' after The Beatles. His solo work, Amused To Death, is the only one that resonated.

They did have a US office, back then.
Anyway, headline is: “Professional musician uses professional music tool shocker!”

I know, I spent a lot of time on the phone with them back in 1998. But having a US office does not make them an American company, obviously.
