trippyu
I apologize in advance if I'm not posting under the correct listing. The problem: I recently fixed my Novation Launchkey 49 that had a broken USB 2 type B female connection. The keyboard used to not get any power when I plugged it into a USB port, but now it does because the lights turn on when connected now. However- my laptop doesn't even recognize the keyboard when it's plugged in. Under Apple>System Information>USB it doesn't recognize that it's even plugged in. And under Midi Studio it doesn't recognize it either. I tried rescanning via Midi studio but nothing came up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tripp
enossified
How did you "fix" it? Seems like you fixed the power but messed up the data transmission.
trippyu
So as you can see in the picture, I replaced the white plastic piece thats separating the prongs within the USB 2 type B connector. To my knowledge there was nothing technical that I changed about the performance but I could be wrong.
