Solution rockoutdenver Posted January 6, 2021 Solution Share Posted January 6, 2021 Hi, I have Googled my heart out trying to find the answers to this, but haven’t found an answer for my exact situation. I have to export individual audio files for mixing/Mastering. The Stereo Output needs to have -5.0db of headroom. I organized all my tracks into Summed Stacks and used the faders of the stacks for mixing my song for demo approval by the library. I also sometimes used VCA faders for extra volume control. I know that the main sum track fader and the VCA fader don’t affect the volume of the exported audio files, but they affect the Stereo Output peak meter. What’s the best way to make sure my midi and audio channels within the stacks equal -5db or less on the Stereo Out (essentially bypassing the VCA faders and the main stack track faders) so that when the engineer imports the audio files he has the -5db headroom? Thanks! Scott Edit: Forgot to add I'm on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 and LPX 10.6.
