Can't find pattern menu in Logic Step sequencer?

Going the new step sequencer but can't seem to find the menu for preset patterns.

When I open the Pattern Browser tab there's no list there like I've seen on tutorial vids (screenshot attached).

Anyone else have this problem?

Any advice on how to sort it?

3. From Apple Loops, if you select the Step Sequencer Loop pack, then you will see some more patterns, which also include instrument channel presets to go with them.
    
   

I have a partial solution, can anyone please provide the solution to the remaining issue?

Partial solution: Resize the left column area to be wider, then the browser menu will display.

REMAINING PROBLEM: However, I still cannot resize the browser menu to display full names of patterns; it refuses to widen further, so you can see all the pattern names are cut off by ellipses :

Update: by comparing my view with a tutorial video, it seems that my view is buggy. You can see in the second image posted above, that between the pattern browser and the pattern area (not sure of proper name?), there remains a blank grey column that should not be there. It is taking up space, and perhaps is the obstacle that I alluded to, preventing me from getting a full view of the browser menu.

The Step grid. Indeed something wrong with that area on your screenshot. not sure what that is.

Hi, Wondering if this ever got solved? I'm having same issue. I've figured out the solution of stretching the area, but similarly would like the browser to look "normal." Thanks!
