Mandubien
Hey friends ! There is no library showed in the Alchemy browser (see picture). Even after refreshing, nothing show up. I even tried to reinstall all the Logic's libraries, and still nothing. How can I fix that ? http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/44b3/17ykojquuyd6usg4g.jpg

The still can be chosen in the alchemy pull down menu but they don't show in the browser no more. cheers Rob
Jordi Torres
Hi, You have not provided any context for this issue. In other words, under what circumstances this started happening? What has changed? What exact version of the operating system and Logic do you use? Without this key info it will be very hard to help you. J. Solution Mandubien Posted October 1, 2017 Author Solution Share Posted October 1, 2017 Ok I finally managed to make those presets back again. Apple suggests to delete the database file located in ~/Library/Application Support/Logic/Plugin settings/Alchemy. Actually, for any reason, the presets, channel strip settings, impulse responses, database.... are no longer located here. Here's what to do : close Logic, and go to ~/Music/Audio Music Apps/Plug-In Settings/Alchemy/ and delete this database : Alchemy_Preset_Ratings_And_Tags.db Then restart Logic and it should work.

songseeds
Here it is 3 years later and this little glitch just popped up on me COMPLETELY out of nowhere. I have no idea what the cause of this is (which DOES worry me somewhat). At any rate thanks to Mandubien for posting the fix. Saved me time and trouble. pranaearth
I hate to drag up an old horse, but I just installed an Alchemy preset pack, and after refreshing the database, no presets were available. So I deleted the file listed above, restarted my computer, relaunched Logic. After Alchemy refreshed it's database, I get this: I can scroll though the individual presets, but the "parent" folder no longer shows in the drop down menu and all I get is "ALL" Any thoughts? Thanks for the help P
pranaearth
So strange. After restarting my computer this afternoon, everything was fine in Alchemy. So....two restarts fixes problems now? lol
pinki
Just want to say the original solution worked for me...for some reason I only had 300 presets total. Deleting the .db file and restarting did the trick. Thanks
