Re: Help with REW and Room Treatment Topic is solved

I agree with you David about room treatment instead of eq. REW gives you all the tools for room acoustics and it’s not for amateurs. It’s free by the way (donations are accepted)

Re: Help with REW and Room Treatment Topic is solved

REW is for Room EQ Wizard, an application for room acoustic measurements, corrective equalization and room simulation.

Re: Drummer playing beats in 3/4 HELP

Drummer seems to be optimized for binary beats (4/4, 2/4,...). I can only advise to change drummer, try a 3/8 beat maybe, use the follow feature or not, use the 1/2 time setting. You have to work at it in 3/4 as you can see.

If Apple changes cpu again, future betas will be eventful; the bleeding edge will be a carnage!

If I had to go PC, I would use Linux not Windows. Ubuntu Studio looks interesting so does Ardour as a DAW.

I noticed the delay also. Only Apple can fix that.

Re: Apogee Duet (Firewire) audio interface question???

No problems with Sierra either. I remember doing a clean install of Sierra but upgraded to High-Sierra.
I'm using the last/latest supported driver from Apogee dating octobre 2014

Re: Apogee Duet (Firewire) audio interface question???

No problems here with my Firewire Duet with High Sierra.
Maybe I have an edge because there is an actual Firewire port on my old MPB?

Another pro would be that you can monitor with the mixer and get absolute zero latency.

Re: amp designer, madness...

I know this is not helping your problem but I can run 2 or 3 instances of amp designer (I haven't tried more than 3) without any quirks and I have a similar setup than yours.

Re: Logic X Drummer 'shuffle'???

Try playing with the swing parameter.
The feel parameter changes whether the drummer plays before or after the beat (metronome).

Re: No mic audio from MOTU 828 mk2 to Logic Pro X 10.3 Topic is solved

Did you know that the 828 analog inputs 1-8 appears has input 3-10 in Logic, 1 and 2 are the mic/instrument inputs.
So the sound from the compressor should be at input 10 in Logic.

Re: Differences between Apogee duet original and 2 Topic is solved

I am using a Firewire Duet (older version) with Sierra without any problems but my Macbook Pro has a Firewire port (mid-2012 non retina). There are a few subtle differences between the two models connection wise: The old model has only one stereo output (the headphones are hard-wired to the main out...

Re: Drum Rolls *Help*

I think one of the reason you get a machine gun sound is a question of note velocity and sound. A real drummer will never play each note of a roll with the same velocity and will hit exactly the same spot on the head. So you could try to randomize the note velocities of the roll and you could also u...
