I am working on a combining a vocal and a piano recording. Both are stereo tracks. At one point, the vocal track cuts off prematurely. To extend the vocal track I selected a portion of the track, copied, and pasted it in multiple times. I was careful to align the new regions in time to avoid sudden changes in amplitude. I crossfaded the new regions using the equal power option. In the result, the new regions seem to have a panning problem. The relative amplitude of the left and right channels seem to fluctuate wildly at each boundary. Any suggestions?
