  1. The step sequencer template and the notes it triggers. I assigned the rows to the MIDI map of Superior Drummer 3, and named the rows accordingly, but it just doesn't seem to matter. The notes rows are assigned to don't match up with the notes they trigger. I've tried "No Transpose" and "Use Project Key", but it just doesn't seem to make a difference.
  2. I use iCloud Drive. It's probably worth noting that it's not a DropBox-type product - it's more of a sync'd version of your local disk. It's hard to explain but there are good web resources on it. The way I have things set up here is that I have a local folder which is sync'd to iCloud Drive. So I'm still working locally, essentially, but it's constantly backing up that same folder to iCloud. I imagine there are ways you can do a similar thing in other cloud storage products, but I get iCloud as part of the Apple One subscription, so it makes sense for me. I have not had any problems in the 1+ year I've been using it so far. I don't use it to save space, just to alleviate the fear of losing all my work. I use a time machine drive too, just in case.
  3. Thanks Polanoid - it seems to be working fine in another project now - but when the issue happens again (because it always does) I'll upload and share it. https://file.io/xN3LmLNqtjpO I wasn't able to compress it any smaller than 262 MB, so I've used this link.
  4. I hear you, but I'm talking about the step sequencer rather than the step editor or piano roll (which I totally agree with you on). Sorry if I'vemisunderstood. I really don't want to move DAW - I feel like I've made such progress with Logic and there's a really great and helpful large community of users. The step sequencer seems like a pretty good way of making drum patterns and beats, I just don't want to use DMD I've also tried using SD3's grid editor but like you say it's a fudge - I want to be able to edit within Logic, not a plugin.
  5. Hi again everyone Has anybody been using the SS with third-party drum plugins (e.g. Superior Drummer 3, Roland Cloud 808) without any problems? I've been having so many problems with the use of templates. I can set up a template, label and colour the rows, etc...and then when I reopen sessions, everything seems to become odd - it's as if all of the rows have just randomly reassigned to different notes. In addition to that, I'm now having problems where even though the row will show e.g. Floortom 3 (centre), and when I click the row header and click steps in the row, the tom will sound...but when I play back, it triggers a snare! I'm completely baffled. Is the Step Sequencer just not meant to be used for any other drums than DMD? Any help gratefully received...
  6. Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well. I'm having the strangest error. The sustain pedal plugged into my Yamaha P-45 piano (which I use as a MIDI controller in Logic) has suddenly stopped working as a sustain pedal and instead seems to have mapped itself to start/stop in Logic. How do I get it back to being a simple sustain pedal? I've tried restarting my system, unplugging the sustain pedal...nothing.
  7. Another one - Copying a cycle with a marker from the timeline view to the live loops grid should name the scene with the same name as the marker.
  8. I would love to see the ability to colour scene headings in the live loops grid (i.e. the button that you click to start a scene playing). It would make organising the grid so much easier and it's surely an easy win for the programmers? I'd also love to see a playlist ability - perhaps a side bar in the inspector (a bit like the Groups bar) where you can create a playlist of scenes. Basic things but would be SO helpful...
  9. Such a shame hopefully it is an easy fix for a version soon. Fingers crossed it's not just me that thinks it would be super useful.
  10. Hi everyone - hope you're all well! There has to be a way to colour scene headers (i.e. the sections at the bottom of the live loops grid you click to begin playback of a scene) right...?
