  1. I'm having trouble assigning my two MIDI controllers (Korg nanoPAD2 and Korg PA588) to two different tracks in Logic. I've referred to logicprohelp.com/instruments-tracks-midi-channels/ but still can't get this working. I am aware part of my issue may require advice on software other than Logic (KORG KONTROL Editor and the in-built software of the PA588) but hope at least I can make sure I'm doing everything correctly at Logic's end. In Logic, I've tried creating two different software instrument tracks and setting them to MIDI Channels 1 and 2. I've also enabled Auto demix by channel if multitrack recording in project settings. In KORG KONTROL Editor, I've set the Global MIDI Channel to Channel 2, and saved. I'm not sure if, after saving, my new changes are recognised in Logic or if I have to import new settings? I'm more confident that I've set up the nanoPAD2 correctly, however it still registers in Logic whether I have Channel 1 or Channel 2 assigned. On the PA588 I've tried setting Ch1 as Upper and Ch2 as Off, but similarly it registers on a track assigned to Channel 2. Thanks for any help that can be offered!

  3. That's it! I wasn't aware of that selection, forgive my newbie ignorance. Thanks David!
  4. Thanks for the reply. I'm using a Korg PA-588 and I've tried both the Phones and Out jacks (both register input on the interface), plugged into the IN2 jack on the interface using 3/4 inch lead. I've created an audio track, and Logic automatically set the interface to both input and output device when I plugged it in. I have changed the output to system setting (which I have verified as working) so I can hear for testing, and even tried switching input to system and then back again. Edit: I've just tested an XLR mic into the IN1 input on the interface and that registers on Logic! So it just seems to be an issue with instrument into IN2. I have also tried another 3/4 inch lead into the jack (though I don't see that being the issue as the interface is registering the input on its display).
  5. I hope someone can help. I have set up my Komplete 1 audio interface, and downloaded all required software. I've plugged in my keyboard via lead, and the display on the interface is registering input (indicated on the IN 2 meter). Logic recognises the device, and I've got it set as the input device. When I play, the green bar indicating input does not display anything. If I record, nothing plays back. If I switch input to my midi device or laptop speaker, it records fine. All the same applies on Garageband. I'm using macOS High Sierra v10.13.6, and Logic Pro X v10.4.8. Thanks in advance for any tips!
