Just saw this. Sorry for my delay. I have a project opened right now and it happened again. I did some editing (cut a region, pasted to a new track). Logic will not let me undo this action and undo my cut to the region. I have the undo history open. There’s 87 current undo steps and it won’t let me undo any of them. Do you know what would cause this? Something in admin? Something wrong in background files? It does this every week or so. Please help

I've researched the forum and the undo steps issue seems to not have been solved. Like me and some others, at random times, Logic will not let me undo, saying "Command not available because there are no undo steps", however I definitely just did some steps. Anyone know why this might happen at random? Or how to solve it? Or prevent it from happening again? If this doesn't get resolved, I may have to go to Pro-Tools. Seriously. I can't run a professional studio while tracking someone and then accidentally erase their recent recording and not be able to undo the delete and bring it back.

That's not the case. You can use both Flex Time and Flex Pitch simultaneously. You just need to be in Flex Pitch mode to hear both edits simultaneously. When in flex pitch mode, then going back to rhythmic mode, a flex edit/marker keeps getting added in a certain section. Why? How do I stop that?

Similar question, similar topic: I have 3 cello tracks going into a aux track with plugins. When plugins such as: ozone match eq and waves tuner, it causes latency and the cellos are now off beat. So how do I bounce the project with those plugins on without the timing being off?

Importing 4 instrument tracks from another project. 3 of the 4 show up as instrument tracks, but one does not (the kick). What's going on? The instrument track (kick) has midi info, but no sound. Can't open up Drum Designer from track either.

I would prefer to use software monitoring myself, but the software monitoring adds a "doubled effect" during recording. Know anyway around that? It was fine when i used an apogee interface, but not with the UAD twin.

I don’t typically use low latency mode, I just put it on the arrange window to see if it was on. I don’t think it’s the plugin in chain, because when it was happening months ago, I re-started the computer and started a fresh new project with no plugins and it still did it. It sounds like this issue might only be happening to me. Maybe it’s a glitch with my computer. Or maybe I need to do a fresh install of Logic.

Hi there. Thanks for getting back to me. I have the software monitoring off in Logic. Yes, I'm monitoring through UAD. Sounds normal when monitoring, but when the audio is recorded, it sounds like the source is 20 feet away from the mic. This is currently not happening as I re-started the computer and it's better now. However, months ago when this happened, it continued to happen despite re-starting like 10 times and then days later it was normal again.

Every once in a while, the audio recording will sound glitchy (distant, reversed, very very very low volume, etc). When speaking into the mic, it sounds fine, but then hit record and there's a faint amount of bad quality volume. No settings were changed. I'll even start a new project and the same issue arises. Using UAD Apollo Twin. AKG C214 mics. Same on both channels and both mics. Any ideas?

Did this ever get resolved? I have the same problem. Every so often I'll get the message "can't undo because there's no undo steps" And there was steps that I just did. This is a major issue when accidentally deleting a track or region.

Here's the screenshot. I noticed that a small section of the project is focused and it opened the takes as separate tracks. All this was done automatically. Thank you for getting to this so quickly!

Restarted project because audio recording was sounding distant. When re-opening project, only 3 audio tracks are seen in arrange window. All 15 tracks are there in mix window. There are no hidden tracks. Also, when I try to add a software track, it automatically creates a copied audio track that’s currently in arrange window. Please help. Trying to record these cute little girls that are singing a song for their parents.
