  1. Yes, I thought it was a bit hopeful. Thank you for confirming that though.
  2. Hello, I have a very old powermac G4 and I'm wondering if there is any way I can make use of it. I'm a bit of a hoarder and hate throwing things out. Would it be possible to use it as a slave computer for my MacBook? I would imagine that it's not powerful enough to be useful for anything but I just wanted to check before I get rid if it! Any advice would be gratefully received.
  3. Hi there, I'd be very grateful if anyone has any ideas how to solve this problem I'm having. I've been using EastWest Play sounds for a while now without a problem. I ran out of storage and tried to store some of the sounds on an old WD external hard drive. It worked fine until I unplugged the hard drive. Ever since then, every time I try to open a Eastwest sound the Logic project closes and has this message. Clicking 'Reopen' doesn't do anything. Has anyone seen this before? Thank you in advance.
  4. Thanks! I've experimented with Alchemy but I haven't tried stacking different pads so I'll give that a go. Cheers
  5. Thanks, Atlas007. I'll make sure I use the the sine waves.
  6. Hi there, I have been asked for a piece of music that needs a very, very soft pad sound which adds depth but is very unobtrusive. I have been experimenting with all the synthesisers in Logic and have produced something pretty close. However, whatever I try, there is still a very slight 'synthy' sound which I'm trying to avoid. I know that this is a sound design question that can't be answered in a post but I was wondering if there are any presets or plug-ins I can use/buy that would set me on the right path? Many thanks.
  7. I just bought an M-Audio full size hammer action midi controller. I haven't had it long enough to know how well it will last but it seems to work well. It is basic though with just a pitch and mod wheel, but it has a good action and weight to the keys. Also, very easy to use with logic. I didn't have to set anything up, just plugged it in.
  8. Hi, I just wanted to post an update. Thanks to https://www.jazzmedia.com.au/a62m.php I am now up and running with the Emagic a62m driver. The gentleman at Jazz media has provided absolutely amazing support. I had to go back to him a few times and he very kindly troubleshot the installation problems. So, thanks to Oh for finding the link and a huge thanks to Jazzmedia. I hope this info can help someone else too. MacBook Pro
  9. Ah, that's really helpful. Thank you! I'll try downloading it and post back how it goes
  10. Hello, It has been a very long time since I last posted but I would really appreciate some advice with this issue if anyone can help. I have just updated to a new Mac with Logic Pro x. I was previously working on Logic 6 with an ancient computer and very old midi keyboard etc. I am hoping to still use my Emagic a6|2m to hook up my mixer and keyboard but obviously it's not possible to use the CD to install it. When I plug it into my computer nothing is coming up. Is there a driver I can download or do I just have to accept defeat and buy a new controller? Many thanks.
