Using the Logic Score Editor deserves a category on its own - users like myself do not create Scores for Soundtracks but Instrumental Parts for musicians to play live on gigs or in studios - from small band to big band to orchestral scores.
Another category is Overdubs - again users like myself do not 'produce' music as in mix master and send a finished product but .. a key use of Logic is recording overdubs ( in my case chromatic harmonica) to backing tracks sending stems with no effects to clients for their projects, albums, commercial sessions etc recorded.
Another use is Creating Educational Material - transcribing music so that the score plays in real time with the original track for a student to slow down and study. I have literally hundreds of projects available in all genres, classical, folk, mainly jazz & funk etc and am constantly making new ones for students. Sometimes turning these into Quicktime movies using Screenflow for those who do not have Logic on their computers.
Another use is the Assembling and editing of multitracks recorded in a studio I have made 4 several albums in this way - recording a band in the studio, bring stems into Logic for each track. Doing extensive editing of the all the instrumental stems with no effects. Adding overdubs (keyboards, percussion, vocals, a few instrumental corrections) And then sending the entire project off to a mixing engineer. I have no use for or knowledge of plugins or eqs or anything like that except as they relate to get a rough sound to work with the raw individual stems.
