  1. That was my attempt to solve this Logic deep nesting issue. I share here my video in English 😉
  2. Hi folks, I've recently managed to create a deep nesting folder/subfolder structure into Logic! It is not the official way (since Logic can't go beyond the 2nd level) and I don't know if it is a bug but anyway with that weird method (which is pretty much the one that Dragonwind wrote a few post above), you can realise what is perfectly elementary and easy in other daws. Made a video on that topic. I'm sorry it's in Italian but I hope it'll be clear for you all anyway.
  3. Hi, I find LogicX features are not so powerful when trying to bounce all the stems of your project and exporting them with the right filenames, in the right destination folder... I mean this is the exact kind of operation a.. computer should do, NOT you, right?! I mean.. Cubase DOES it, why LogicX doesn't? Please, feel free to watch this video where I explain my efforts trying to solve the problem. I've scripted a macro using Keyboard Maestro: You can download that macro totally for free (link in description of the video). Make sure to watch also this video too: LO.ST. Overview: for a deeper walkthrough and the downloadable updated version of this macro. I'd like to convert this macro in an external application. If anyone knows how to do that, please contact me. It would be a dream. All the best, G
  4. If you want to operate in a multi-output setup, you have to: 1. choose a multi-output version of your instrument (ex. Kontakt 16 Multi-Output) 2. in Mixer click on the + button on your instr. track to add as many aux tracks as the patches you want to load up 3. select these aux tracks and CtrlT to show them in the arrange window 4. in your main instrument, assign the correct output channel for each patch Now the aux track you see in the main arrange window have no Record button (but you can record anyway), yet they have solo/mute controls.
  5. But with that multi-timbral way, you won't have then full control on volume, solo/mute and other parameters for each single track; all tracks will be "linked" together. That's why I've always preferred the multi-output method. Forgive me, I wouldn't like to bother you anymore
  6. ..or in other words,I want to get rid of the Batch function/Clear output sections..and bla bla..
  7. Yes, I know all the multiple output thing in Kontakt, the + button and setting each instrument to their Kontakt output but that's exactly what I want to avoid, i.e.: - inside Kontakt, set each instrument you are using to whichever Kontakt output you want (eg Ins 1 to outputs 1&2, ins 2 to outputs 3&4, etc).. I don't want to do that manually EVERY time I load up a new instrument! In the video he doesn't set anything about the output in Kontakt yet every instruments has its own corresponding track! Sorry, there's definitely something I'm missing! Anyway thanks so much for your time and explanations!
  8. So (I'm trying to understand): you mean all that you see in the video is not an output setting? That means in Logic I won't load a Multi Output 16 stereo Kontakt instance but just the standard stereo one? Then I load as many instruments I want within that Kontakt.. and how these instr. are going then to have their own track, with own settings, automation, volume ect.. in Logic?
  9. Yeah, I know. It sounds really wired to me as well. But I assure you it is possible, somehow. Take a look at this link, from 11:45 for instance: he loads up a second instrument and Kontakt automatically gives to it Midi Ch. #2; BUT he leaves untouched the output (i.e. the two instruments maintain the same St. 1 output)! Then he goes to the corresponding track and..boom! just ready to go! How the hell is it possible??
  10. Sorry for the ambiguous title but I am really confused. Maybe someone could help me. So. Here's my purpose. I load a multitimbral instance of Kontakt in Logic. Then I load up let's say 2 instruments. Kontakt is going to auto assign the right midi channels for each instrument (i.e. Instr. 1 = Midi ch. 1; Instr. 2 = Midi Ch. 2), but NOT the output (every instr. has still the same "St.1"). In order to route the different instruments to the correct output channel, I usually do the "Output/Batch functions/Clear output section and create one individual channel for each instrument" operation (within Kontakt). Now, my question is: how can I avoid this manual process? I'd love to load just the instruments within Kontakt, leave the "St.1" output for each of them, but yet going to the corresponding track in arrangement window in Logic and hear everything fine, magically routed to the correct output channel (like in the screenshot). Is this a matter of daw or Kontakt? I guess I should pre build a sort of midi routing in the Environment window, am I right? adding something like "Channel splitter" or? I know for sure it is possible at least in Cubase. But again, I don't understand if this has to do more with the daw (Logic in my case) or Kontakt. It may end up being a stupid thing but I really don't know how to get it. Any suggestion and help is really appreciated.
  11. Interesting. I'm not asking as much though.. but having the chance to go deeper than only two layers.. a basic matter of folders to group instruments just for a visual purpose. Nice trick anyway
  12. You're right Atlas007. Just hope they're gonna introduce it again asap.. Many thanks
  13. Crazy and unbelievable! So why the hell they decided to throw away an option, command and software script on which they invested time and effort?! Just incomprehensible!
  14. ..good old topic and question: is it possible to have track stacks within track stacks? Other daws (actually the majority of them) offer that simple, obvious and enormously helpful possibility. Logic seems not. You can have just two layers with a summing stack inside a folder stack. And that’s it. But what if I would like to better organize my template through a more structured folder hierarchy? Ie. 1st folder “Strings”; 2nd “Violins”; 3rd “First vl.” a.. and so on.. Come on, it’s just a stupid matter of folders: why Logic should not do that?! Still in 2019?! Or am I wrong? ..I’ve recently found this post (2015) on another forum which says the following: Although you can put a summing track stack into a folder stack then put the folder stack into another folder stack and repeat as much as you want. Just keep in mind it's only possible via drag and drop. How is it possible that image here attached?? ..once upon a time Logic could do that??
