  1. Holy s#!+ I've got the solution!! Seems that when you disable a plugin in logic, it still routes trough it even though it seems that the original signal remains unaffected. So when theres a plugin that is set to: 'm > s' or 'm' it still sets the signal output to mono when it's dibbled. Still following me? To solve the problem: Try removing the plugins (one at a time) and when you found the one, replace it with the stereo version. Disabling does not help, you have to actually remove them. Thanks everybody for the help, and I hope for some coping with this problem that this will solve it. Luv <3
  2. If, I disable ALL of the plugins on EVERY channel, and I try panning my adlibs, literally nothing happens when it's output is routed to the vox bus. (yes the channels are set to stereo) I am aware of the different pan settings and tried all three of them. And yes, I can turn those knobs, they just don't pan to the left or right, not in any setting.
  3. Yes other instruments pan as long as they are not routed to a stereo bus.
  4. The above did not help, still thank you for your replies, I found something out: When I route the channel witch I want to pan to my stereo vocal bus, im not able to pan it, when I try to pan it when its routed directly to my stereo out, I am... I already tried disabling the plugins on the channel to make sure it's not a bad plugin. I Hope im able to get a solution asap as I am currently mixing and almost reaching my deadline. Thank you for your help yet. Here are pictures of my channels, adlibs is the one im trying to pan and vox is the bus. (I know it's in mono, that was only at the moment I took the screenshot)
  5. Where can I find this setting? can't find anything about it.
  6. Dear members, So im mixing in logic since a week ago and im not able to find out why im not able to pan my vocals. Ive tried: - Change the channel setting to stereo/mono - disabling all fx on channels What is weird is that I can pan my mixbus where the channel is on, but not the separate channel. I've red some solutions on other topics but none worked for me.
  7. JunkieXXL actually has a whole episode of studio time about programming strings where he talkes about this concept. (I think it was one of his last ones or his episode called writing for strings)
  8. It seemed to be fairly stable now, after freezing all the instruments & mixer channels. Still, for me there is no logical explanation for my pc not being able to run it now when it had 0 probs with it yesterday. I will keep on trying to fix it some way. Can anyone think of a logical explanation for this?
  9. I will try reinstalling Kontakt to discriminate the possibility of problems related to software instruments. And ill go on trying things.. Thanks for helping me out so far
  10. Side note: I just noticed that increasing or decreasing my I/O buffer size did not affect my situation at all.. Neither did removing some software instruments from the project to decrease cpu usage, when it happens my cpu usage goes from 8% straight to 100%
  11. Nope, only happens with this particular project.
  12. Thank you for sharing the link with me! So I have updated my logic to Logic Pro X 10.4.4 and imported my project into an empty project with all the information that was available. Nothing worked, but it did sort of extended the period I was able to edit until it completely froze my MacBook
  13. Thank you for your reply I have tried rebooting, yes. also no apps are opening upon startup. Im running Mac OS Mojave 10.14.2 And Logic version 10.4.2 I can not find how to import my project into a 'virgin' project. Could you explain how I should be able to do that? Btw Project of smaller size or less instances of Kontakt seem to be working fine. If indeed running multiple instances of Kontakt or any other instruments is causing the problem, it still makes no sense why I would be able to run it perfectly in the past.
  14. Dear Logic Pro Helpers, When I woke up this morning and started up my project in Logic Pro X First of all, these are my specs: 2.3GHz quad-core 8th-generation Intel Core i5 processor Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz 8GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 memory 256GB SSD storage1 So when I load my projects containing 4 instances of Kontakt running the library Cinematic Strings 2 from my external HDD (formatted in HFS+), and one instance of Kontakt with Hybrid Strings also running from my external HDD, The following problem appears: - After a little while (about 30 second) my audio start cracking and not working properly (disappearing and reappearing). And short after this my audio completely disappears and the apple loading icon starts appearing and my MacBook Pro starts to completely freeze. I already tried the following things: - I/O buffer size set to: 1023 - Process buffer range set to: Large - Freezing tracks - Multithreading set to: Playback & Live Tracks Nothing helpen or extended/changed the way logic is behaving The weird thing is that I was able to run this project without any problems at all, and that changed this morning (I am convinced that I did not change any settings in between). Already checked other topics for problem solving but no one really seemed to have logic freeze their WHOLE computer. It seems that in their situation logic makes a message appear like "System overload" or something else, mine does not do any of these. I hope someone can help me out Kind Regards, Jim
