  1. SOLVED Thanks David, I just did this one "Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/" and it worked
  2. Great. Sorry, where might I find that folder please?
  3. Thanks, I've tried the on and off again already.
  4. Hi everyone I upgraded to 10.5 end of June and used it for a bit. Not opened Logic since, but now want to. But it won't open, keeps getting stuck eg: And "Application not responding" Any ideas please? Seems to be getting stuck on the plugins maybe? As it got stuck on Kontakt yesterday. Thanks
  5. Ok sounds like you are doing everything you can. Sure you have but make sure the external drive name is the same as it ever was - exactly. I changed the name of mine to Music and it all went wrong. So back to boring samsung_t5. Also make sure you don't have any linked files things, a method used before logic did that update where you can "easily" put sounds on external. So might not be applicable to you. Well done identifying Drummer.
  6. Are you sure you "re-indexed via spotlight"? I only ask as it's not always clear you have started the process when you probably have. And it can takes hours.
  7. Ok solved How to reset NVRAM https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063 Shut down your Mac, then turn it on and immediately press and hold these four keys together: Option, Command, P, and R. You can release the keys after about 20 seconds, during which your Mac might appear to restart. Thanks for your help and replying to the thread.
  8. No. And I just tried to open iMovie and it's happening on that. So maybe it's not just Logic Pro. You open the application and the whole screen goes black, like it's turned off. But you can work out what is going on behind it from the touchbar buttons but you are completely blind. Can use keyboard shortcuts to quit the app and bring you back to your screen what you were doing before you opened the app. Any help, would be much appreciated.
  9. Ah yes that didn't work, sorry. The video recording software didn't record the black screen. Kind of makes sense. But after I opened another project it makes my computer screen go black.
  10. Just a simple request to open a new project and the whole computer screen goes black. I know it's normal behind that, as I can use the keyboard to command Q and then the touch bar to save or not to save. Once Logic is quit, I see my screen again. Any ideas please?
  11. Fair point. I was thinking of a cheat sheet and a reminder of things you can do to the different elements. You know what I mean, you must have some processes you often apply to different elements 9 times out of 10.
  12. Hi. Does anyone have or seen a PDF or some sort of reference I could use to see the elements of a track (drums - kick, hats, percussion. Bass, chords etc) and what typical affects you can apply to them (compress your kick), how to EQ them (remove lows from hi-hats) , group drums. Be really handy as a reminder! Hope that makes sense. Thanks
  13. Thanks, but that doesn't work. Well it does until you create a new channel after and it breaks it. I can send you a video to explain it a lot quicker. But can you try it and check please. So does the points in post 11 and then create a new software instrument track. Knob fails.
