  1. Sorry, meant the green Software monitoring button.
  2. So I figured it out. It works now but doesn't make any sense. I record-enable the track, turn on audio monitoring (NOT on the track, but the control bar), press play, and punch in and out using Record key command and I get no dropouts. If, however, I don't press Play first but hit Record instead and then I try to punch in and out I get the dropouts. Why would that make a difference whether I press play, then record or record to start out with?
  3. Thank you. This would be a great feature (Cubase does this), especially for Midi editing. Oh well.
  4. What's even more bizarre is that, if the record button and input monitor button are not on and I punch in and out, the solo state of that track turns to solo-safe mode for no apparent reason. I've been combing this forum and there a literally 10's of posts with no answers to this problem.
  5. Hi David. I tried each and every possible way as per your previous post. The dropouts of click and audio continue. This has to be the only DAW that has problems doing something as simple as punching in and out. This issue has been brought up on multiple threads so I'm not the only one here. Thanks for the info though. Back to Cubase.
  6. I just hit record via the star key on the numeric pad. Isn't that how you would punch in and out?
  7. Hi there. Why does my drum, or bass track drop out for a second when I'm punching in on the fly? Allow Quick Punch-in is checked in the record tab. Cheers
  8. Hi there. Is there a way to match the grid division to the quantize value in the Piano Roll editor without having to adjust the Quantize value and grid division separately? Meaning, that if I set the quantize value to, say 8th note triplets, the grid division will also show the triplet grid. I'm used to this from other DAWS and it's a real time saver. Cheers
  9. It's an Orchestral session with 150 tracks, so maybe that's the problem.
  10. fuzzyfilth, If it works in a new session, with the exact same settings, then it IS a software issue. I'm not new at this. The cycle is a few bars but it does not make a difference even when I'm looping just one bar. Oh well.
  11. Usual Logic inconsistencies. Bummer. It totally works if I start a new project so another lame issue with this program. Thanks for the help anyhow.
  12. No, I just kept Cycle recording. No Track Folder.
  13. I can select the audio files in the browser and select move them to new tracks but that obviously totally defeats the purpose of a Track Folder. Weird.
  14. Of course, cycle was on. And, Logic didn't create any Tracks. And, Create tracks isn't even checked in Prefs. So that certainly isn't it.
  15. Tried again and it didn't create a track folder. The files seem to be in the Browser on the bottom. Super confusing.
