  1. Thanks for your test. Your results are similar to mine. I also have an Intel with 64 GB of Ram and I am in Ventura. The problem is with one of my students who has an M2 Pro and Sonoma. Although his RAM is smaller (16 GB), I think it is not normal that he can only play less than 16 duplicated tracks of that test project. So, obviously there has to be a problem in his equipment, either OPUS is not optimized for the M2 Pro chip, or perhaps is not optimized for Sonoma. It doesn't seem normal to me that you or me can duplicate the track 80 times until the system can't handle it, in my case with a 2017 computer, and my student with a new 2023 MacBook Pro and an M2 Pro can't handle more than 16 tracks. Something is wrong.
  2. Have you tried EastWest OPUS in depth on macOS Sonoma and Logic Pro X? Doing some tests with one of my students on his MacBook Pro M2 Pro 16 GB Ram, we have noticed that we can't use more than a few tracks (about 16) until the CPU or audio driver overloads, which I think is not normal, even when the buffer is set to 1024. Our test consists on duplicate the same track as many times as we can until the CPU/Audio is overloaded. We have used a track with few C ascending scales using different articulations each time using 1st Violins KS from OPUS Hollywood Strings and Babylonwaves Art Conductor for Logic Pro. The same test in my old iMac 2017 i7 4,2 GHz 64 GB Ram and macOS Ventura reaches until 84 duplicated tracks until the CPU overloads. On the M2 Pro and Sonoma using OPUS in NI Komplete Kontrol (which forces the use of the plugin in its VST version instead of AU) it is also possible to reach more than 80 tracks. After erase the disk and a clean install of Sonoma, the results are the same. So, I don't know if the problem on the M2 Pro is related to Sonoma but I suspect so. I think maybe there is some incompatibility with the latest version of the OPUS component plugin that maybe should been optimized but that may not happen with the VST version. Perhaps in projects with few non-simultaneous tracks it is not easily detectable, but in our case this is what happened. I attach a link to the project in case any of you want to try the test and share your results. You simply need to duplicate the track and try to play the project as many times as your computer allows (remember to lower the master volume when you duplicate if you don't want to go deaf). 3. Right! When using "Hide/show empty tracks" it doesn't hide the focused track, you're right! But using "Hide/show unselected tracks" it does (if they are in a Track Stack or folder). "Hide/show empty tracks" doesn't hide the focused track, although it's inside folders. In fact, the track stack or folders become hidden but not the focused track. "Hide/show unselected tracks" hides all tracks of the project if they are in folders, even the focused track, and I still thinking it should not do that with the selected ones but... well, for now it's how it works.
  4. Thank you! Yes, I already send a message this morning and let's see if the developers find interesting to change something. There's another function, "Hide/show empty tracks", that works similar. When used it hides all tracks except those that have regions. But, curiously, if you have selected one of those empty tracks, this is not hidden. Why? I don't know, because the track is empty, and all the track stacks and folders are hidden, but maybe because you have selected this track, it's not hidden when using the shortcut. This function works pretty much how I would like the other to work.
  5. Thanks for your reply. Yes, if I select the tracks and I am careful to also select the folder in which they are inserted, yes. But that's not very useful in folders where there are a lot of tracks and it really slows down your workflow a lot, having to scroll up to also select the track stack when maybe you only want to see one or two tracks at the bottom of that folder. Anyway, that a function called “Hide unselected tracks” also hides the selected tracks in some cases… it doesn't make much sense IMO. I think there should be a way for Logic to interpret that the selected track that you want to see when hiding the others, is inside a Track Stack and therefore it also should show that Track Stack. Or, at the very least, don't hide the selected track.
  6. Hello. There is a feature that I use a lot in Logic to clean up large templates with many tracks and that is the option "hide/show unselected tracks". So, I can focus on working only on a few tracks that I previously selected. I have a keyboard shortcut set up that works perfectly and it's wonderful to be able to work like this. The problem is when those tracks are inside a folders or a track stack, then the function no longer makes sense in my opinion. When I select one or more tracks that are into folders or track stacks and try to use the function to hide the unselected tracks, Logic by default also hides the folders or track stack in which those tracks are inserted, so it also hides the selected tracks that I want to view. I think this shortcut shouldn't work like this, if a track is inside a track stack or a folder and I want to see only that track, Logic should be able to show it. Is there a way to configure Logic to work this way? I'm using the latest version 10.7.8, I don't know if the same thing happened in previous versions, I didn't noticed this problem before. Any help? Thank you!
  7. Of course. Here you have one. Maybe is related to the Spanish localization? Prueba.logicx.zip
  8. I did it already, but I also posted here to see if it happens to other users. Thank you very much for your help! I hope Apple can fix it soon. This does not work for me. Those menu entries still there even after restart the computer, they are related to the project.
  9. Thank you for your reply. I thing I did nothing special: 1. Create new project. 2. Open MIDI Transform Window and create some custom presets. For example: New 1, New 2, New 3 and New 4. 3. Close the MIDI Transform Window, the 4 custom presets are shown correctly in "Functions" menu inside the piano roll editor. 4. Open MIDI Transform Window again and delete presets "New 1" and "New 2". In that Window, now only "New 3" and "New 4" should exist. 5. Go again to the piano roll editor, "Functions", "MIDI Transform" and there are 4 slots, 2 shown as available to create new presets and the "New 3" and "New 4" already created.
  10. Hello everyone. I think there is a bug in the most recent version of Logic Pro X (10.7.7) related to the MIDI Transform tool. I have created some new custom presets in my template and deleted others that I no longer use. But now, for some reason, in the piano roll editor, when I go to "Functions" menu and than "MIDI Transform", I get a strange huge list of presets that no longer exist and that I don't know how to delete. Curiously, although they appear in that menu, they do not appear inside the tool. Does it also happen to you? Thank you!
  11. Thank you! Well, it's not exactly the "select all previous" function that I was looking for, but maybe it work with the two steps mentioned by Atlas007.
  12. Hi, I know there is a "select all following" key command ("Shift + F" by default), but... exists a way to do the invert selection? Something like "select all previous"? Thank you!
  13. Thanks for your reply Zipfunk. Not exactly, I just want two shortcuts to switch between articulations, one for going to the next articulation and another to the previous one, no matter what articulation it is. I also have EastWest OPUS Hollywood Orchestra among other libraries (VSL Special Edition, Spitfire BBC, etc.) and I use them in combination with Babylon Waves Art Conductor, with pre-programmed articulation sets for Logic Pro X. I already have a control surface with a custom TouchOSC template where I have assigned some buttons for the most common articulation changes (sustain, legato, tremolo, pizzicato, staccato, etc.). However, many libraries like the EastWest OPUS Hollywood Orchestra include lots of not-so-usual but very useful articulations (with sordino patches, runs, effects, repetitions, Bartók snap, sul pont, sul tasto, rips, falls and a lot more) that I'd like to quickly sweep through all of them with just two buttons. For that reason, those "next articulation" and "previous articulation" shortcuts should be very useful (like zapping TV channels) since creating a shortcut for each of them is not feasible, there are too many. Unfortunately, I can't find any option in Logic Pro to program a shortcut for this specific function.
  14. I don't think this function/shortcut exists in Logic Pro, but it would be great to be able to switch to the next articulation with one shortcut and to the previous one with another. I use orchestral libraries with dozens of articulations in combination with Babylon Waves Art Conductor for Logic Pro and although the idea to be able to quickly go to basic articulations always with the same MIDI key (like keyswitches) among all the libraries is very good, there are some exceptions. Some libraries do not work exactly the same way than others, and also some libraries have many unusual articulations for which there is impossible to establish a standard keyswitch. That's why I think it would be useful to be able to assign two keys of my MIDI controller to simply switch between articulations step by step, one key to advance to the next articulation, and another one to return to the previous one. I think it would be the most agile way to be able to quickly go through many articulations until you find the one you want. Has anyone found a way to do this? Thank you!
  15. Great! Thank you! I suppose you used the original Logic Pro X icons to create these section icons. Where did you get it the originals at that resolution?
