  1. Yeah this just happened to a friend OUTSIDE of Logic Pro. Theyre we’re just simply playing an audio file on their desktop
  2. This has been happening in a major way with two of my friends recently. Almost took my friend head off; he was hearing headphones. Is it gonna take a lawsuit to get Apple / Logic to do something about it?
  3. In the video I’m using the i/o plugin on a synth bass track that’s already been recorded and sending it to an external hardware EQ and back with the i/o plugin. I use lots of my external hardware that way. And it’s not the meters delaying on that channel that’s the problem, it’s that they are completely stopping everytime I bypass the i/o plugin.

  5. Sure. I’ll be back at the studio tomorrow and will take pics. Thank you!
  6. Hi. So I just recently wiped my Mac Pro clean and did a fresh install with Catalina and latest Logic. So my first project in the freshly installed Logic I’m trying to use the I/O plugin to route some hardware, something I’ve been doing in Logic for years, but this time around all of a sudden the meters for the track completely disappear. The signal is still passing through the I/O plugin and all the way down to Stereo Out. Everything sounds fine. Just there’s no meters jumping around for that track, which may not seem like really that bad of an issue, but my biggest use for the I/O plugin is on my mix bus, so i definitely definitely need my meters there. Anyone else encountered this? Oh and, my specs are: Mac Pro 2013 8 core 32gb ram running Catalina w/ Latest Logic and Universal Audio Apollo Twin and 8 Thank you!
  7. Yeah I’ve tried that but the issue seems to reach far outside what simple volume and level controls can handle
  8. Hey sergemeister, what do you mean exactly by enough volume on your boot drive? I’m intrigued by
  9. Heya. No I do not have any RolandCloud installed. What was the exact circumstances of yours? How many times?
  10. Oh and sorry I didn’t answer your first question. I’ve taken so many steps over the last couple months to stop the issue. For awhile I thought it was from plugins that weren’t updated but I have literally every piece of software updated on my computer. I have nothing else on my computer but registered audio software. Nothing pirated. I’ve done hardware diagnostics. Emailed Apple/Logic. Emailed some suspected plugin companies. Reinstalled everything. etc etc.. you get the point. Haha. But yeah. It still happens. Destroys my beloved hardware along the way.
  11. Hey Frances! I actually have the Ice9 plugin, thanks for the link though! It’s placed in the last spot after my mix bus. The issue just busts right through it. Also it’s worth noting that I don’t get the white noise, I get a very loud pop and i immediately lose all audio but my meters get pinned into the red until I shut down. You can feel the chaotic energy coming off my interface. My thjnking is that there IS white noise going, hence the pinned meters, but I think my monitors (Kali LP 6) must have some kinda kill switch. I rarely ever use headphones but I bet I’d hear white noise if I had them on. I’m at such a loss I’ve decided just to actually move on from Logic and Apple. I’ve lost so much money and time (and smoked hardware) because of this issue that it would actually be really irresponsible if I did continue to use Logic and an Apple computer. I think I’ll be fine with Reaper anyway. Sorta excited to try it. Anyway thanks for the response. I just wanted to post that last update in hopes it might help someone somehow down the road!
  12. Happened again just now. I’m completely done with Logic & Apple. Just documenting this last one here in the hopes that maybe it’ll be useful information in the future if Apple actually decides to fix this unbelievably DESTRUCTIVE issue.
  13. Bump Just documenting that it happened again with all software up to date
