  1. I have several takes of several tracks of a song. All takes used a click track, but the artist didn't always count off at the same point in the recording, so takes start at different times. I need to shift (or adjust somehow) the takes so they all align. How do I do that? When I click and drag a take header, the left edge moves but the waveforms stay in the same place. Thanks!
  2. Ok, I'm a right idiot. After looking at this dialog 50 times, I made a screenshot to attach to this response. When I did I finally noticed the attached: For the life of me I can't figure out how it got un-checked, and for the life of me I can't think of a situation where you'd activate the metronome but not want to hear it, but there it is. Thanks to all who offered suggestions.
  3. Today the metronome quit. It appears to be ticking (the glyph goes back and forth) but no sound comes out. Logic Pro version is 10.4.6 build 5088, OS is Mojave 10.14.6. All the metronome settings seem appropriate, what should I check?
  4. I cut the beginning of an audio track, at the beginning of the song, to eliminate noise before the verse started. Now I want a fade as the part comes in. Logic X (10.3.1) WILL NOT create a fade at the beginning of this region. Period. I have saved and restarted, does not help. All that happens is the track moves. I can use automation to create the effect, but this has to be a bug in Logic.
  5. I have the same issue tonight. I cut the beginning of an audio track, at the beginning of the song, to eliminate noise before the verse started. Now I want a fade as the part comes in. Logic X (10.3.1) WILL NOT create a fade at the beginning of this region. Period. I have saved and restarted, does not help. 6. I have 8 tracks of drums (bass, snare, toms, etc.) and 15 takes in my song. To create a comped performance, is there any alternative to comping the same section in each of the 8 tracks? Like a "group flex comp" that takes the same sections from multiple tracks? Also, how can I make a stereo track out of, say, take 12 of all the drum tracks? Thanks!
  7. I have used the Replace or Double Drum Track feature of Logic Pro X 10.3 to create a new instrument track for a snare drum. I need (some of) the track to be cross-stick, not full snare hits. I can't find find this in the library. Perhaps it's part of the Producer Kit, but I can't seem to select drums/sounds in the producer kits like I can in the regular kits. Will I have to buy a separate library for this sound? Thanks!
