  1. Hello, Would anyone have an idea as to what's going on with this situation? Screenshot attached.... 1 track selected to create midi file. Midi file is created through the export function.... "selection as midi file" The track is selected and the solo button is clicked on. The locators run from the beginning to the end of the song. When imported back to the same Logic sequence it was created from ..... it opens 17 tracks and breaks the midi info into separate bits and spreads it out into the various tracks. Some of the info is not copied anywhere. Btw, this midi track was created a different project and copied into a new project to see if perhaps the original project had a glitch. However all the problems described above happened upon importing to either the original project or brand new one. Last thing.. I tried creating a midi file from a different track than mentioned above It seemed to capture all the info but it created 2 tracks upon import. One was blank. Any thoughts on how to correct this? Thanks for your help. Phil K.
  2. Hi, The problem has been resolved. I believe by simply opening the "Play" program for each instrument it reset everything, although not sure that was what resolved things. If anyone has had this problem and might have a thought as to what caused it and how to prevent it would welcome your knowledge. Thanks much, Phil K.
  3. Wondering if there might be any Logic East/West library users that can lend a hand. Opened a Logic song today which had been closed for a few days while working on another song. When having returned to the original song all assignments are now wrong. The piano now plays a violin patch, the violin plays a percussion patch. All midi instruments now play a wrong East/West patch. The audio track, live bass part, is fine. The internal Logic drum track is fine. But every East West midi track is; screwed up. Restarted Logic and restarted the computer as well as the Apollo 8 converter. None of this restores the original patches. Any thoughts on what's going on and how to correct? Many thanks for help you can throw this way. Phil K.
  4. Hi Does anyone know where I can find either an audio or midi loop? of the Logic Click track(metronome)? Sounds like a side stick and would like to use it in a composition. Thanks much, Phil

    No sound

Thanks Triplets, The panning of the master outs was the culprit. Naturally today was the day I decided to just turn on the right speaker with the master out panned to the left. Duh award received. Thanks man

    No sound

Hello, Logic X project was working fine yesterday. Attempted to play today and no sound. Other Logic projects do create a signal and send through monitors. When attempting to play the problem project there is signal shown in the channel strips and signal shown in Apollo meters... but no sound. No tracks are muted. Have tried soloing. Rebooting computer and restarting Logic program. It would seem there is some kind of global muting on this project, only. Any ideas would be welcome. Thank you, Phil K
  7. Thanks Atlas, I am writing in midi crescendos in the piano roll so I believe this is going to the individual channel strips. So I think it is being printed in the newly converted, midi to wav, files. For Robinloops... Thanks and I am bouncing with low latency option selected. Also, bouncing offline. Hopefully, this will print the new wav files with no effects but preserve the automation movesI(volume, mutes) in the new files. Also is there a way to take a multi track project(some midi, some audio files) and bounce all tracks in one pass. So if the project has, say 30 tracks one can create new separate wav tracks for all 30 just in one pass? Or does one have create a new wav file for each track, one at a time? Thanks much for your help with this, Phil K.
  8. Thanks for the reply. A quick follow up, please. If one writes a crescendo into a midi track using automation, that automated crescendo would appear in the final stereo mix. When creating a 24 bt wav, for example, I use the bounce feature to create a final mix of a multi track project. It would seem if one is bouncing just one midi track into a wav file. And a crescendo was in that one midi file track wouldn't the crescendo appear in the new single track wav file? Whether converting an entire mix or a single track using the bounce feature, it would be the same process, no? Thanks for the help. Phil
  9. Hello, I am creating wav files of individual tracks from a 40 track piece, to send to an engineer for mixing. Would like to confirm 2 things, please. Firstly, if low latency mode is selected then all plugins will be turned off and no effects will be appear in the new wav tracks. Secondly, even though low latency mode is selected, the automation moves that are in the original tracks... will ... show up in the new wav files. Thanks for your help. Phil
  10. Mode = Offline Normalize = off File Format = Wave Resolution = 24 Bit Sample Rate =96 File Type = interleaved Dithering = none Btw, once the wav file is created it is placed back into Logic and on a track just below the original track it was create from. I"m toggling between the original and the bounced wav and the latter is much softer. Thanks for your help. Phil
  11. Hi, I am bouncing both midi and audio tracks, creating wav files to send to a mixing engineer. The bounced tracks are considerably softer than the originals. Is this a known issue or, perhaps, I'm missing a step in the bounce process? Appreciate any light you can shed. Thanks, Phil
  12. Thanks for the response. I have tried turning off the Apollo a few times as well as restarting the computer but no luck. Must be something else. Thanks, though.
  13. Hi, Can't get a signal when attempting to record bass into Logic via an Apollo 8 interface. In logic have created an audio track and set input to channel 1. Apollo input has been set to 1 by pressing the input knob. The bass is plugged into the front of the unit into H1-Z -1. The bottom of the Apollo input screen shows H1-Z. The record button in Logic is blinking Red. However, auto punch is not enabled. And have tried recording the bass but Logic does not receive a signal. Have also tested the bass in an amplifier to rule out any issues with chords or batteries. Bass works fine in the amp. Clearly I've missed a step. Any thoughts? Thanks much, Phil K.
  14. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.
  15. Hello, I am having trouble getting any signal on a tune a wrote a few years back on an older version of Logic. All the tracks, except one, are grayed out. Some of the tracks have Logic instruments assigned and some have 3rd party sample libraries. The first track which is not grayed out does show a signal when the midi notes are played but there is no sound. Wondering if you might have some thoughts. Thanks, Phil K.
