  1. Managed to solve it with the help from MOTU support guy. Didnt realise that the mix bus' on the 828 come in as inputs to Logic - selected the right input (after checking in - view mixer, options, io options), previously had the mix1 selected as my input.
  2. Are you looking for the factory samples? I think I might have a CD-ROM from Akai with these on.
  3. I will definitely do this for you when I return home this evening.
  4. I don't believe that you can do this, as the 828 is connected to the mac, and the 8pre is connected via optical cable - so there is no config available from the MOTU Control panel as it can't see the 8pre as an 8pre - just as additional inputs on the 828.
  5. Yes I just tried again. Recorded a synth track from a keyboard via the 828 it was a bit louder on playback, but I had to have the levels pushed quite high. Still no visible waveform on the track when recording/recorded. Its blasting my ears when i record yet is very feint on playback even with everything almost at 10. (I appreciate your help with this as I am stumped).
  6. Well the 828 and the 8Pre seem to be fine connected individually
  7. yes I see the level move, when i play the bass for instance. But nothing gets drawn on the track (ie a waveform) while recording.
  8. Hi, I'm fairly new to Logic - but a long time Cubase user. I have a small problem, now I have connected a MOTU 8Pre (firewire) via optical ADAT to my primary interface a MOTU 828mk2 Firewire. I believe it is plumbed in correctly, as when I connect an input source to the 8Pre, a signal registers in CueMix (Motu's software for it's interfaces) and I can hear it through my monitors. I go to Logic, start a new project, add a track - say guitar/bass. Record arm the track and play the instrument. I can see the meter on the track move in line with my playing... so far so good. Record a track, then play back... nothing. Like I said, I am new to Logic so might not have phrased my question correctly. Searching google didnt bring up anything useful. Thanks in advance,
