  1. Seems like when I clicking into that panel I am simply guessing-especially on the first click...Anyone know a better way? Is there a command to click zero?
  2. Can anyone tell me how to get these numbers to appear? I never see these and it would help a great deal.....attachment included.
  3. Creating multiple EDM projects on a daily basis this workflow thing is a big deal for me. I waste a lot of time on things like this. I love Logic but this and the sampler are a big deal. That is not to say I don't appreciate the ability to have different views in the first place. Just looking to speed up my workflow any way possible. Let me get on to my next creative thought.
  4. Really should be able to save screen sets globally. Shouldn't have to import from a template. Just another step that seems pretty unnecessary. Part of a wishlist that is growing as I see more of what Ableton is able to do. Sampler being another one for sifting through sample packs. EXS24 really doesn't cut it.
  5. Okay so David I am hearing this from several folks...so to pull down the gain parameter in the region inspector that is right underneath the follow temp button correct? If I use the pre fader metering what level do you think would be ideal? Will go back and check my tracks....it may be this is the issue or perhaps I have just gotten used to mixing to hot....I am taking a closer look at all of this now. In the past I have worked with all organic tracks in pro tools. Now working with so many samples I believe this has become more of an issue...thanks for your feedback and I appreciate your knowledge.
  6. Here's a thought too...I don't know Ableton at all....the person I watched may have been hitting the the gain staging earlier...I don't really know how is preference was set up. I don't think that is what he was doing but like I said I don't know Ableton...
  7. I use the gain plug in a great deal...I work with samples a lot and what David is talking about takes time....anyone who works on EDM projects knows it already takes a great deal of that. You get into the creative aspect of a project dropping in samples like crazy and the next thing you know you're too hot and have to go back and lower stuff. Of course I can fix it other ways I just like the way I have seen it work with Ableton. the gain of each sample is not too hot-it's simply a matter of combining a lot of drum samples to where they start to add in the master bus. Really all I needed to know was you can't do that with Logic...no biggie..
  8. Not really a fan of how that works out...not good for workflow.
  9. Yes that was my workaround that I figured out....I also couldn't lengthen a arrangement marker in the middle to create more time. for example I had a "Break"marker and wanted it 2 bars longer but I had to add a new marker to make it work out...
  10. BTW I have tried changing the name of the session but the second title comes up each time....06)Chillwave variation.
  11. I have a track I've saved as 10)That's Right. When I open the session up at the top of the Logic window the title reads as 10)That's Right-06)Chillwave variation-Tracks. How do I get the title at the top of the screen to just read 10)That's Right so when I share it it won't have both titles.......I believe I once has a prior version called 06)Chillwave variation.
  12. I also need to know if I can make a arrangement marker longer moving arrangement markers to the right or end of that markers. For example I have a marker in the middle that is 2 bars long and I want it 4 bars long...doesn't seem to work by dragging the end of it 2 bars longer......
  13. It helps keeping the mix from getting too loud. It's too easy for tracks to build up especially when working on EDM. If you set the tracks to automatically open that way you can avoid these issues. I used -15 just as an example...probably wouldn't go that much lower- maybe -10db. I've seen many folks use this technique in Ableton and it seems to work well. a template won't work because I need to be able to add tracks quickly and on the fly. Can't have every track set up in advance.
