  1. I have posted this a couple of times and searched the internet for a resolution but can't seem to sort this - starting to wonder if its a glitch with Logic Pro X 10.4.4? Its really frustrating and asked around several different places and no one seems to know the answer of the cause of this. Maybe the moderators can help? Im trying to import a midi file into Logic - its a strings piece that a client sent me - I also have an audio file of the output of the same midi file. Whenever I import it doesn't line up with the audio file - meaning the midi file doesn't play in time with the rest of the project. I have checked with the sender - they have same project tempo and have midi set to 25fps Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I am really struggling to sort this out and my client is getting understandably tetchy! Thanks in advance! iMac late 2012 (10.12.6)
  2. No - the midi is out of sync its not just that it displays incorrectly
  3. Hi, I am having real problems importing midi into Logic. My collaborator (using Cubase) sends the midi and audio files for a project but the midi is always a different length from the audio. I have checked the tempo's in the source project and destination are the same. Any ideas its driving me nuts! Thanks in advance. Mac 10.12.6 Logic Pro X 10.4.4
  4. No this is the problem I think. It sync's when project tempo is 120 (even though actual tempo of audio and grid in destination project is 104) I have tried "Remove Original Recording Tempo" but this option is ghosted. Any ideas how to resolve this?
  5. Hi, I have a problem importing midi to a project - the midi never sync's up with the audio despite there being a hit on zero to aid sync. If I open the midi in a new project instead of importing and import a 2-track bounce of the audio from the original project, it lines up perfectly. If I then copy this exact midi into the original project it again does not sync up. Even if I manually sync the first midi hit in the two projects, it isn't in time in the original project. Both projects are set to 25fps. I feel it must be a setting thats wrong in the original project but can't for the life of me work it out. Any help would be appreciated. Kind regards, Ally Logic Pro X 10.4.4, OS 10.12.6, iMac late 2012
  6. Well, I would like to audition the part in real time, changing it via the drummer interface. I cant currently do this without converting to midi, putting it in situ, listening, deciding I want to make changes and having to either repeat these steps or edit in the grid (Im not a drummer so the latter is normally a last resort). Seems a bit of a crap workflow.
  7. I am trying to add drums to a project with a variable tempo - Drummer has exactly the beat I want but I can't get it to start at correct place - as soon as I move it to where it should be it changes the beat to start with a roll (even with fills turned all the way down) and changes the pattern to start on the wrong beat. Very frustrating. Any ideas how to solve this without converting to midi track? Many thanks in advance - hope this is clear. Cheers, Albatross LPX 10.4.4 / Mac (27-inch, Late 2012)
  8. Hi, Im having an issue with copying/pasting channel strip settings. Basically Logic is copying the EQ and inserts without any issue but it is copying Sends and I/O routing incorrectly. The sends do copy but instead of saying "Bus 1" or whatever this area is blank. With regard to the I/O routing - where the source channel might have Bus2 as its output, Logic changes this to a stereo output (e.g. Output 29-30). I have previously performed this task with no issues so think there must be some setting somewhere that has been inadvertently changed. Incidentally, this issue is only apparent when I am copying/pasting between channel strip settings between projects - when I attempt to copy/paste within the same project it works no problem. Any ideas where I am going wrong? Many thanks in advance.
