  1. Hello, great thanks for all your explanation. But... I believe all of you know what you are talking about and for sure all of it is true. But I still claim there is some problem with my Logic Pro, or my projects. Today in other project which I started some weeks ago and in which I had about 10 plugins inserted on Stereo Output, suddenly my Stereo Output became some strange channel without any option of input, plugin inserts and of course sends. There was just stereo button (that one with two circles) and nothing else (please see enclosed screenshot). And all my insert plugins gone. Fortunately after some investigation I found out it happended because there in some uncontrolled way appeared one surround channel. But even if it would be controlled way then is it normal behaviour? Where that Stereo Output with all plugins is hidden? Fortunately, when I changed that unlucky surround channel to stereo, then Stereo Output suddenly again became normal and back with all my inserts and its settings (but some side chaining gone). So my Output Stereo always was somewhere. Where? By the way I don't know how it's possible that I had got surround channel. For sure I didn't use any library patches, because it was just works with finalizing project, some mixing etc. And at all I never use surround in my projects. I am almost sure it happened in some way when I was bouncing in place, or bouncing tracks. I don't know why and exactly how, but for me it looks like these are standard issues with Logic Pro. Whole my experience with Logic Pro (I use it about 5 years) is that there is always some mess in mixer. I have no idea what are good habits to keep everything organized in mixer. Sometimes I had some auxes which are not tracks in main window, but if in mixer I create new aux it appears not on the end of mixer (consistantlymost to the right but before Output and Master channels) but it appears somewhere between other auxes but you can't move it. All that happen in mixer with view selected "Tracks". It's a bit confusing. For any advances great thanks in advance. Best Regards
  2. Hello, I've just found in my session strange aux/channels in mixer. I created that project about year ago. So I don't remember how I created such things, but I wonder what wrong, is it some bug or what? There are two auxes that has no input option, and no sends option. But which is also strange, on my vocal channel I have send set to bus 6 and bus 7, and it goes to those strange channels. I don't know how but I can hear vocals in those strange auxes, and also on vocal track, after click on send instead of Stereo Output channel I can see that send channel, which is standard (and very nice) behaviour, but channel which I see is that strange channel without input option. So how it is possible that bus 6 and bus 7 are routed to auxes that have no input? Or what kind of channels they are? On screen shot it looks like that:
  3. Heh! Thanks for reply. But I wrote that I know I can deselect "sends" from patch merging option. But the problem is it works only for a session. Even project doesn't remember that preference. I always toggle it again and again. I would like to have "sends" deselected by default Is there any chance to do that?
  4. Thanks for your reply. You wrote that: And yes! That's true. But what about Channel Strip presets? Especially when they have sends set to some reverb aux, and those reverb auxes will be created automaticaly. Will those just created reverb auxes set output to my new default bus? At the moment I can't check it, but I am almost sure that the default output for those auto created aux is still Stereo Output. By the way, for me those auto created reverb auxes while previewing library is great pain in the ass. It always provides mess in mixer, at least for me. There are always some auxex which I don't know how and when they was created, by whom, and for what, and always need to wonder about that. Of course I know there is option in Library Patch Merging to set sends off. But it is always by default set on. Can't I change it to be by default set off?
  5. Hello, what is the smartest and best way to filter Output Stereo and set it as a Side Chain source in plugins? At the moment the solution for me is to bounce whole project to new aiff/wave file, and that new file import to new track, than put filter on that track and than use that track as a Side Chain source. But it's pain in the ass because there are always some issues with synchronisation of whole file with the rest of project, and which is more important, every time you change your mix in someway you need also to bounce new aiff/wave file. Other solution for me is to set output of each track in session directly to some new additional MIX aux, and than set output of that MIX aux to Stereo Output. Than I can use MIX aux as a Side Chain source. It's the best solution for me but than the problem is that still the default output for new tracks/aux is the Stereo Output, so it's easy to have track that accidantly goes directly to Stereo Output which I want to avoid. So maybe there is option to set in Logix my MIX aux as a default output for each new tracks? For any help great thanks in advance, Best egards
  6. Hello, is there any way to set Library to load presets without sends by default? I can turn off sends in library Patch Merging. But everytime I open project it is again turned on by default. Can I change it to be off by default? For any help great thanks in advance. Best Regards
  7. Great thanks for your profound reply. Unfortunately point 7. I've moved to another thread. Sorry for mess. It's here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=154563
  8. sorry I've already asked that question in other thread, but I removed that. I think it should be another thread. Hello, Can I color whole session in some orderly manner by any trick in Logic Pro X? When I start project with some template I have everything in nice colours and order, but after extensive editing session, while rearranging order of many tracks and regions etc. I have big mess in my arrange window. So isn't there any fast option or trick to color everything in any orderly manner? For any help and suggestion great thanks in advance. Best Regards
  9. Great thanks for your reply. But to be clear dragging with "shift" key is little bit customizable. Because you can set keep direction while dragging which by default works with "shift" down. But in that case "shift" down allows you to move regions freely. I thought that maybe there is something similar for "alt" key, but I understand it's not. By the way thanks. Best Regards
  10. Hello, there are some shortcuts that change trackpad dragging behaviour. For example while moving region or midi note and click "alt" button it copies region instead moving it. 1) How to find such actions in Key shortcut manager? 2) Can I change the button from "alt" to any other? 3) Can I change to set copying while dragging to be default, and moving only while "alt" is down (so vice versa than it is now)? For any help great thanks in advance. Best Regards
  11. Hello, can I assign custom actions to trackpad Force Touch in Logic Pro X? For example while moving region I can click "alt" button to copy it. I would be happy if I could use Force Touch for such feature instead clicking "alt" button. Is it possible? For help great thanks in advance, Best Regards
  12. Hello, I have problems with zooming in Logic Pro X. I can't manage this maze of options. And everything works for me not unintuitive. For example when I activate "automation" I am always suprised and lost in my arrange window with many tracks. I have impressrion like it always works in suprised way. It is different when I have "vertical auto zooming" on or off. Or if I click "z" button it zooms selected region. That's great but it zooms it in unconscionable, excessive ratio that fill whole arrange window. For me it's unnecessary. Please help me answer on some questions: 1) Can I turn off "auto zooming" when automation is toggling on or off? 2) Can I change zoom ratio when auto zooming on toggling automation? 3) Can I change zoom ratio when clicking "z" button? 4) Generally can I customize autozooming in any way? 5) Can I set auto zooming on toggling automation to works always the same no matter "vertical auto zooming" is on or off? 6) Can I set to zoom only in vertical direction on clicking "z" button? For any help and suggestion great thanks in advance. Best Regards
  13. Hello, great, great, great thanks for all your support. But it looks like that Mackie Controll standard doesn't solve one problem (or at least it's not easy). And the problem is sending to MIDI output any knob/slider/button FROM ANY PLUGIN. Is it really imposible? It seems to be something obvious. If there is feature like "Learn Control Assignment" for any external MIDI component to control any knob/slider/button from any plugin or mixer, so there should be some opposite feature to allow to sent any slider/knob/button from any plugin to MIDI output. Sorry I just need that. I hope that maybe we don't understand each other and that's why there is that whole discussion about Mackie Control standard. Please tell me it's mistake I just need to be able to send any feature of Logic Pro X to MIDI output. Not all the time and permanently. Just for a moment to read current value of parameter. It seems to be something obvious for such great Digital Audio Workstation.
  14. des99, thanks for your support
