  1. Im asking about specificlly when I click the piano roll with the mouse to preview a sound
  2. When I click a note on the keyboard in the midi editor piano roll window, the note is too soft to hear. If I draw a note I can hear it fine. How can I increase the velocity of a note on the piano roll when clicked with the mouse?
  3. So I have a midi take folder. I can select each take in the folder but how can I comp it? In an audio take folder theres that little swiper thing but I can't find it in MIDI? Then I unpacked to tracks thinking I could cut them up and make final track that way... I can't solo a track??? All the midi tracks are are linked. Like When I move a fader on one track it moves all the other faders? I try to solo one take, it solos all of the midi channels??
  4. Hi Thanks in advance for your help. My band has recorded a bunch of takes in a row and now the files are really long. What I would like to do is trim the files around the versions we want to keep and move them closer to the begining of the project. How can I remove the extra parts on the beginning and end of a region and just keep the section that I want? Also when I move the file, how can I apply the SMPTE time location so that the overdubs will line up? I think its called destructive editing but I cant find that option within Logic Pro X.
  5. The other thing is the marker has to have an end. The first marker always goes to the end. I still cant turn off "Play from last locate position" I click the marker in the list, the playhead jumps to that position, but when I press play it always goes back to the last position.
  6. Another thing... You should be able to drag a marker into the cycle lane and have it set the cycle time but that is broke too.
  7. that what I thought! I did that already and it still goes back to the last location. this sucks
  8. Before when I used Logic you could hold option and click on a marker in the marker side bar. The arrow turns into a pointy finger and the playhead goes to the marker. This is very handy. Then pressing space bar would make it play from the marker. Now the play head goes to the marker but when I press the space bar it always plays from the last point and not the marker. Please help.
  9. Thanks Plowman! That helped me to figure this out. If you drag the marker up into the cycle track then the cycle will match that marker. After doing that you can select each marker and the yellow cycle thing will follow.
  10. I was confused about what the marque is... What I meant to say is I want the cycle selection to follow Marker selection. Not Marque selection. Last time I was mixing when I option clicked a marker in the marker window, the cycle would follow that.
  11. I have markers set to the beginning and end of songs. I use these to match the cycle time to the marker time for bounce. There are several songs in one session. Before today, I could select that marker and the yellow cycle thing would match the markers selection. Now it stopped working. I have tried auto set cycle to marque selection but it doesn't work. I did just update to the newest Logic X. I don't think that could have changed anything. I must have hit a key command accidentally. I want the yellow cycle area to go along with each Marker area. Please help.
  12. I believe ts the most current version. Maybe I had mirroring checked. I'm not in the studio right now Ill have to check later. It was weird like I couldn't assign an aux out to 1-2. The interface is motu 24io
  13. But it doesnt change. It just keeps 1 and 2 as stereo. So when I send my main to 17-18, it goes to 1-2 and 17-18.
  14. Hi, I just cant figure this out. It is so frustrating. In the past versions of logic I have been able to re assign the stereo out. Now in X I Cant figure it out. I want stereo out to be 17-18. I want to use output 1-2 for something other than stereo out. This has to be possible. Can anyone help? Thanks
