  1. Now what about my original request? Any advise? I am still struggling...
  2. Hi triplets, Regarding the first point, I have seen tons of the similar posts (even here) regarding System Overload.. the problem is not guiding or obvious to the user to recognize in order to allow him how to solve it; The error message itself indicates nothing. I have been personally suffering from this problem many times in the past. now I have a 16GB and still experiencing this issue. As for your question, yes you are correct, I am using macOS Sierra 10.12.5. and also using a template.. I am also using Serum (VST) that's all.. the other plugins are limiter, compressor and EQ. Many thanks,
  3. Gents, System Overload in Logic is becoming a nightmare and unsupportable. I have bounced all my channels (Hihats, kick baseline etc) now I have only 6 channels and I am still getting System Overload! Kindly advise what I should do. How I can detect the channel causing that?! how I can remove it?? I have already increased the buffering size to the Max and I have 16GB Ram on my MacBook Pro! What Should I do more? This is a very very bad weakness in Logic that everyone suffer apparently. A Major bug for me.. Thanks for your help as I should proceed with my project. Regards,
  4. Hi David, I am experiencing again the same problem in the new Logic Pro version 10.3.1 I am not able to follow the above instructions, something has changed. Please advise.
  5. Gents, following this conversation, i have something related that i have posted few days ago. I dont see in Logic any plugin that detect the key of a channel. Everytime i have to bounce a channel and put in rekordbox to analyze the key. The Metering > Tuner plugin in logic shows many keys for the same channel (Ex: E then F# then G etc..). I am expecting to have a plugin that analyze the channel and gives me one key only (ex: C, Emin etc.. Thanks,
  6. Gents, I would like please your help to be able to detect they key of each channel. currently the only one I can see is the one proposed by Logic in Mtering > Tuner. This one jumps from E, G, F# etc.. when i try to use it to know what is the effect or melody key. This could be helpful for people with musical background only.. I dont have unfortunatly.. i need to know the specific key for each of my channels.. The alternative (what i do currently) is I bounce and check in Rekordbox that analyses the track and tells that it is C or Emin etc... this is headache to do everytime and for every channel. I dont have a musical background, i am wondering if there is a way to detect the key of my channel without being obliged to bounce and use Rekordbox. Thanks for your help,
  7. many thanks again David! Just last question, regarding the first method, how do you know how much I should increase the level? you have from -inf to +6 so how do I know the level of increase? how I can see the impact? Thanks,
  8. Gents, I need your expertise for a problem that I am encountering. I go to some channels (in my case 3 channels) and I send them to the same Bus. Let's say Bus 31; that will create automatically an Aux channel 10. On this Aux channel I put a limiter. The Aux channel is sending to Stereo Output. The problem is that I dont see any effect of my limiter. What is wrong? what did I forget to define in order to see the effect of my Limited on Aux chan 10? Thanks.
  9. Hi David and All, Sorry for the late response. Actually your idea bringing the output volume to 0 dB brings to destroying the track shape. In other word, if you have a region on -10db and another on 0 dB of your track, lowering the volume down aggressivly the entire track volume will destroy completely the region of -10dB of your track, thus when you master I think the sound won't be right. I am using "Limiter" now but I don't know if it's the best way of mixing down a track before mastering.
  10. Gents, I need just to share your experience about mixing down a track. For me it's the most critical phase after the track is completed. If I look to each channel one by one, none goes to red (>0 dB), but the Master Volume is getting to positive (2 dB or even higher >). How to manage to have a track sounding same and not exceeding 0 dB? The problem is if it goes to positive and when you need to send your track to be mastered, the max should be lowered to -6dB. If your volume is already very high, the track wave shape will be totally minimized, thus destroyed. What is your advice? what I can do with Logic Pro X to over come this? is there any way to know that I should lower more this or that sound? (even though like I have said my channels one by one are already negative; < 0 dB) Many Thanks for sharing your experience,
  11. Gents, I dont know on what I have clicked by mistake, but now when I select a channel it appears very wide! (attached) Please let me know how I can go back to normal view.
  12. Thanks volovicg and David for your help. Thanks,
