  1. What I miss the most is being able to save Smart Controls for say the EQ and have that as a default whenever loading the EQ or whatever FX / Instrument for that matter. I know I can save a full patch for an instrument, but what if I just want smart controls for an FX loaded up? And for the automatic option. This works great for one plugin, but in my opinion the controls should be populated only by the active plugin. Now it makes a choice from the various plugins and most of the time it's not the controls I want to have, probably because 12 knobs is just to few when you have multiple fx active. I was so happy to read about Smart Controls as I thought they would work like Ableton macros, and thought I finally could map my 8 encoders in a useful way, but the way it works now I'm avoiding smart controls. It's like you don't have full control on them and the "smart" controls do what they think it's best....well I guess that's what they meant by "Smart". Missed chance!
  2. Fixed in 10.01 From the release notes: • Resolves an issue in which in some cases notes copied in the Piano Roll ended up at unexpected positions.
  3. Happened to me again. This is getting a bit annoying. Here's a video: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/53337325/PianoRollBug.m4v I'm working in a L9 imported project atm. Nobody else experiencing this?
  4. - Midi regions can now freely be shortened by dragging from the left handle. Before this was limited. - Finally - moving multiple tracks at once - Specific key commands for new audio track/software/etc. big workflow improver, bypassing the "New track" dialogue. - When importing tracks with sends assigned, LPX will ask you to use and select an existing aux or create new ones. - More to come
  5. Nice feature is that LPX will automatically try to assign a proper icon from sounds dragged from the loop browser, also from 3rd party content, probably by analyzing the naming of a file.
  6. Thats working for me as well 99% of the time, thing is the bug appears seldomly but I've had it appear 3 times so far. Don't know how to reproduce this though.
  7. Hi, Had this issue popping up randomly in different projects. When selecting note(s) and option drag (copy note) upon releasing the mouse button the notes are being pasted at a random position or wont even copy at all. When merging the region / selecting another region it works ok. Anyone else had this happen?
  8. Really dissapointed...after a full day of using Logic, the lag occured again. Because they "fixed" it by dropping the framerate when the GUI lag begins, it's a bit more workable with less delay, but still enough to disturb my workflow. And as a bonus 9.1.8 now freezes when adding loops to the loops browser. I must say, I've never moaned so much about Logic, as it always has been a fantastic DAW to work with in my opinion, but this is just unacceptable. I really hope Logic X is around the corner, or they at least think about what's the use of having this disturbing secrecy policy when you're losing customers because of it and give us an announcement, info, just anything that would give us the patience to wait before looking for alternatives.
  9. I wouldn't say "smoothly" at all. You know how they fixed it? By f$@%ing the frame-rate of plug-ins. If you load up an EQ and turn on the analyzer, set the decay to 24 dB/s, it's choppy as hell now. Seems to me like they did this in a hurry. At least it's responsive again.. Those were exactly my first thoughts, a quick & dirty fix. On an empty project after putting three or so insert effects on a track, I am seeing a huge drop in frame rate on the EQ plugin when dragging the bands, even without the analyser on. Same if you look at the gain reduction meter on the compressor plugin, it's really choppy. Also, still dazzles me how they never fixed / have noticed the fullscreen bug where the mouse cursor won't change. I mean when you implement the fullscreen button on your program, you would think you test if it works. Anyway, I'm still VERY happy with this as the most important thing is that I can work again, and all the controls react smooth on mouse input.
  10. I'm also thrilled to get this template or at least part of what's been finished! Any update on the progress?
  11. You can actually see the mouse cursor bug occur live, if you have Logic open, right click the icon and select Options > "None" test it and then move to a new Desktop space and switch back to Options > "This Desktop" which makes the bug active again
  12. Experienced it too and found the solution. It's a Mountain Lion / Logic bug which happens if you have Logic assigned to It's own Desktop Space (Like Desktop 1/2/3/4/5....) or if you use Logic in fullscreen mode. Never had this issue on Lion 10.7 Solution: Right click your Logic icon in the dock, go to "Options" and select "None" under the Assign To section. Hope this works for you too.
  13. Hey guys, Just reworked the Ultrabeat GUI a bit. I found the track labels hard to read as well as the drop down menus, also did some other tweaks. If you like it, let me know I'll then post it into the Template/Environments section! Here's the original for comparison: http://images.apple.com/logicpro/plugins-and-sounds/images/instruments_ultrabeat.png Reworked: http://i44.tinypic.com/2v0op48.png Hope you like it
  14. Wow....okay that made my post pointless haha!
  15. Okay, call me nuts but after some fiddling with google search I think I may have found out that it might be released in May 2012. 8) Here's what I did, so you can double check it: Search google with these words and set the time range to "this week": logic First off the software will not be officially released to the public until may You can change the word "May" to april or any other month and it won't list the Logic result, only one that works is "May" Oh and of course while being in the "Nerd" mode I've also tried the days of the month, but no luck, so I guess they didn't mention that it in the thread....
