  1. Is there a way to add numbers as a prefix? For example, if I’m exporting stems to open in Pro Tools, having track names start with a number and increasing g incrementally ensures they import in the correct order.
  2. I saw this question was posted before - how to link a modulation depth parameter to an automation CC, and it was replied - use as a perform channel - I don't know how to link it to a perform channel. So, could you explain to me step by step, how if I have AHDSR2>Filt1 Cutoff "DEPTH" as my required variable, how I can assign that an automation line?

  4. Really useful info, thanks. I'm looking for the same purpose - pedal sustain ambience and damper return sample.
  5. Hey folks, me again sorry! Wondering if there's a way to trigger a sample from the sustain being activated, then a second sample triggered when the sustain is released?
  6. Getting a little stuck - I have the tempo fader created, and sequencer input routing into the tempo fader, but not sure how to get it to input from my Midi CC 85
  7. I have an Arturia Keylab 88 and I want to be able to use one of the faders to sit in the center, and let me link it to the tempo track so that +/- 63 on the midi CC will adjust the tempo by +/- 30 BPM on the track (can I do this in a latch or write mode?). I think I have to do something with the midi environment, but I've never quite figured it out.
  8. I'm scoring a short video, and there's a point at the climax, around 50 seconds in, that is synced to coincide with the score. How do I set an anchor point to lock the video (and its corresponding audio track) at that time, so that I can make tempo changes in the score leading up to it without losing that sync point?
  9. Unfortunately they're older plugins and updates and support was ceased years ago. Been tricky even just getting around the shift from PowerPC protocol after apple discontinued support at the release from 10.6. They work with the 32-bit bridge on Logic 9, but they crash 32 Lives. How do you mean leave LP9 in a static state? At the moment, just internal macbook interface. Although I have a Focusrite Liquid 56, a Mackie USB mixer and an M-Audio ProFire sitting in the studio if it's easier to link external interfaces?
  10. I want to use some plugins that don't work with Logic X and I'm trying to get Logic 9 to sync - almost like ReWiring. I've got SoundFlower which is sort of like a 64-channel internal patchbay so it's easy to send audio out of Logic 9 and into Logic X, but I'm trying to work out the MIDI clock sync so they play together. I've set Logic X to transmit MMC, and I think I have Logic 9 set up to read MMC input, but they don't seem to be syncing. Could someone help me figure it out? Many thanks!
  11. I would go for the Breath Controller. I spent some time with a RISE at a convention in Berlin last year. While it certainly has some potential for some wacky production tricks, I don't think I'd use it for classical scoring. I would definitely choose a breath controller instead.
  12. I don't have USB3. When i set it up, I put it the same as my previous drive (a Seagate 4TB expansion), I believe it was Mac OS Journaled.
  13. That depends on what kind of instruments you're looking. NI's Komplete packages may be a good place to start as all-rounders. Otherwise, you'll find more specialised instruments such as Berlin Strings, VSL, Rev, Vanguard etc. from the relevant providers.
  14. I have my samples on a Synology 715 NAS drive via ethernet. But kontakt always gives me the same missing samples error whenever I load a new project, even when the directory destination it's apparently searching for is valid and exactly the same one that I eventually have to select as "choose folder". I think as a network drive, my macbook automatically disconnects from it when it's not in use (on finder, whenever I click on the drive shortcut, I get a "Connecting" message for a few seconds before it loads up). Is there some way to fix this so it's always connected? It seems to lose the index or something every few minutes, making continuous work impossible. I have to delete all my kontakt libraries off Kontakt 5, then reload them one by one every time I open a new project.
