  1. Wow, this is so frustrating. Crossing my fingers that adding exponential scale will be in an update.
  2. Hi everyone, as of late I have been having some issues opening logic 10.5 session on my Logic 10.4. Historically I would get the "this was made on a new version..." but now I am getting a "the operation could not be completed" "No other information is available about the problem". Is there something specific that is triggering that message? Im still running an old cheese grater mac pro that sill handles major sessions with ease and in order to update I have to update my graphics card to something that supports metal so im dragging my feet. I dont really feel like I need the latest Logic other than for this issue im encountering. Anyone have a similar issue and know how to remedy this?
  3. I have been doing some audio restoration that needs to be synced with video, therefor I always start by moving the audio "to recorded position". The latest batch of files I got starts at around 16 hours. When I move them to the original recorded position they extend beyond the maximum time allowed. Which I believe is 12 hours.... Are there any workarounds for something like this? Or is there a way to work with the audio file and export it with a SMPTE position of my choosing? Thanks!
  4. Not at this point. Im still running Logic 10.4 with no desire to upgrade to 10.5 (yet). Im also still on Seirra. Ill probably upgrade my graphics card at some point but my work is primarily producing and mixing bands. Im sure ill need to bit the bullet and fork out the cash and get a new computer within the next 5 years but I would love to get the most out of my current machine without a large money investment. I just spent about 60 bucks getting a new 6 core processor. We will see if that is a noticeable improvement to what im doing. 95% of the time my computer can handle rather large sessions with heavy plugin count. I use a lot of UAD which takes off some strain from my CPU but I was struggling a bit on a recent mix session and figured its time to upgrade.
  5. Hey everyone, im in need of some advice on whether I should upgrade my 2010 mac pro or invest in a new machine. My current setup is: Mac Pro 5,1 (mid 2010) 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 32 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 My system drive is SSD as well as my session drive. I keep all my samples on a HDD. Im looking into a turnkey OWC processor tray upgrade which has a lot of options ranging from a 6 core 2.93GHz ($250) all the way to a dual 6 core 3.46GHz ($1380) My computer does surprisingly well considering its age, its only when im doing heavy mixing when it really starts to give me trouble.
  6. From your video, Decapitator is behaving normally. With the "Auto" switch engaged, the Input and Output knobs are linked, so whenever you increase the Input, the Output is turned down. They'll move in the opposite direction from one another, just like your video. Read Decapitator's manual to find out more about the Linked knobs and how to Un-link them. I am very familiar with Decapitator. Take a look at the video again and notice how the input will jump to 10 when I mess with the tone knob. And vice versa. Im not talking about the auto output function. This happens with other plug-ins as well. Including Logic plug ins. Im just using Decapitator as an example.
  7. Hello, I have been experiencing this issue for some time now and its really starting to drive me crazy. Totally screws up my workflow. Does anyone know how to fix this? Im running: Logix X 10.4.4 OS 10.12.6 Youtube link
  8. Reviving this thread. Has anyone else experienced this/found a solution?
  9. Just updated and started using little alterboy from Soundtoys and it seems to still be doing it. Ill have to try that clicking the background workaround
  10. Glad to hear that, im still on 10.4.2. Guess I better update....
  11. Sorry! I never know how to post proper links.
  12. This has been an issue for me for some time now and its extremely frustrating when trying to mix. I have attached a video of a simple example of what is happening. I notice it a lot when using soundtoys plugins as well. Anyone else experience this/have a solution?
  13. This session was given to me by someone else so im wondering if there are any hidden settings that I might have overlooked. Snap setting didnt do anything. Other regions are also moving that have no relation to the ones you see in the video....
