  1. Please for my sanity, can Apple write a little script that pops up a warning window if I bounce a track and I left the metronome clicking away. (this is not a serious question I require a reply to, I just hope it makes someone smile cos they have done the same thing)
  2. Installing Logic X kindly gives you the option to choose to keep your existing vintage key commands. That didnt work... talk about slapping you in the face with a wet ***** and giving you no option to lick it! There seems to be no quick answer here how to get that option to do what it says on the tin. So my question is, put the work in to install the legacy key commands, manually create a mash up of current and legacy workflows, or learn the new ones? The general consensus from the big power users on this forum seems to be learn the new ones. I respect that opinion and take it on board, but I mainly use Logic as tool for pre-production of my DJ sets. Making Intro and Outro's, timing the audio of really old acappellas and getting really old tunes to fit a beat grid with Flex Audio. The main reason I upgraded to X was the amazing quantization features of midi files. But they are all on a DAW I feel alienated with. 'Learn new', 'modify' or work out how to get my commands back im so used to? Any opinions appreciated. Thanks for your time
  3. 10 to the power of 6 questions, but Ill ask this 1st. On a Mac Mini, Logic X. Little Avid Digidesign Mbox. I solo a channel, I only hear the left the channel. This happens on every track from project files created by Logic 9. A belated thanks to everyone her who helped me out on this forum before
  4. This only works for built-in audio, not when an external audio interface is connected. I had my suspicions it couldnt be that simple Would it be possible to use Soundflower? Is it possible to run only Output 1-2 through the Built In Output and use Soundflower to pick this up and send to Inputs 1-2 of the interface? (Basically putting Built In Audio into the signal chain of 1-2 to enable volume from keyboard) I cant test any of these ideas, I only use the built in output of my little Mac Mini awwww
  5. Am I missing something here? On my Apple keyboard I have system volume on my F10 and F11 keys. On some laptops I know they are in a different place but cant these be used instead of buying something? Works for me anyway
  6. For future reference, if you get a file which upon unzipping gives you a .cpgz file, try opening the file with Toast if you have it. From memory you can mount the file or 'save as disc image' with Toast and get the enclosed files that way. (I think i found that out trying to unpack some... erm.. non music related files from the internet hehe) Thanks for sharing btw, downloading now
  7. The Mediafire link is dead, was some nice sounds to. But loved your licensing agreement; ''You are not allowed to make crappy music with these loops'' Haha, love it!
  8. Haha, I have a fair few sent there! Some talented chap posted this on You tube. The project file is linked to in the vid description.
  9. I think i came out a little jumbled there. I left it open over night after the hard reset and midi rescan to test it as the problem was very intermittent, but would happen even if the project was in the background not being played or edited. Now however i gotta work out why my faders are falling down! If i get to the stage where im laying my screen flat on its back to see if they stay put ill probably need help again!
  10. Thanks so much for the solution jordito, left the project open over night and woke up to no yellow boxes Now i just have to work out how to make something good haha!
  11. Hi, great looking forum here, glad i found it I see this problem has cropped up a while ago here; http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=62827&sid=9ce1ebe42e703f489d792c6151cadc1a but none of the suggestions have solved my problem. Im having the same issue with tracks going into solo mode for no apparent reason. When they solo, i get no warning in the arrange window, only when i open the mixer can i see which track solo has enabled on. Turning off my M-Audio controller stops the issue. I deleted the com.apple.logic.pro.cs Deleted com.apple.logic.pro.plist (which didnt solve the issue so i put it back cos i lost my 'favourites' apple loops) Selected the 'Aftertouch' and 'Poly Aftertouch' And removed the device from the Audio/Midi setup in utilities. My Midi messages consistently read; NO IN NO OUT But do occasionally briefly flash some info up. (too quick to read) Also, is there a 'search' feature on the forum? I cant find one oops: Thanks in advance for any suggestions Tom :
