  1. Metric Halo Production Bundle All of the plug-ins are now Universal Binaries on macOS and natively support both Intel and Apple Silicon In addition, we have updated the licensing policy for our plug-ins to allow two activations per license. I don’t have an M1 but this is very cool that they added an additional activation.
  2. The crashing while opening a project is apparently some kind of iLok software issue. Quoted from gearspace - “seems to be related to PACE/iLok protection in their case which seems to corrupt memory leading other vendors' plugins to crash“ “ I contacted Fabfilter about it, since their plugins get mentioned in the crash report most often for me. They confirmed it's some kind of cross-plugin memory corruption caused by Pace / iLok, and that they're in contact with several other developers to try and trace it and solve it collectively” I’ve had this happen and it is very annoying the workaround is to open a new empty project, load one of the recently mentioned plug-ins that crashed, close that project and then open the one you were trying but was crashing. At least that way you can open the project but the rest you were talking about I don’t know and it didn’t seem to have anything to do with the project being big or not Try to refrain from pulling out all of your hair
  3. Check out this thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=151858&p=802541#p802541
  4. Yeah good point unless it’s an old 32 bit plug-in you should be able to get it to work in Catalina. Also try to put logic in the trash don’t empty it and then go to the App Store and see if it serves up an older version of logic under your purchased tab. This can be hit or miss though try restarting your Mac and logging in and out of the App Store. I got this to work a long time ago and the key was to make sure you have absolutely no versions of logic anywhere on your system other than in the trash can.
  5. Just to be clear you mean macOS, (formally known as OS X) iOS is used for iPhones and iPads although they’re on a collision course. The last version of Logic for Mojave is 10.4.8 *edit I think it’s 10.5* If you don’t have a backup I would call Apple and ask them to provide the version of Logic you need. Which they probably won’t because they’re absolutely ridiculous with not letting you have access to different versions other than the latest. Ok sorry I’m being annoying
  6. Start reading at post #54 for more info. https://www.gearslutz.com/board/apple-logic-pro/1314562-logic-pro-x-10-5-1-out-2.html
  7. You’re welcome! Yeah worth a try disabling that preference in finder from the side bar as suggested in that thread to see if it makes any difference.
  8. Right, I was just remembering this thread and thought it might apply viewtopic.php?t=127294
  9. This bug started for me after updating Logic to 10.3.3. It got so annoying I went back to 10.3.2 and it stopped happening. I figured it was the 10.3.3 update but after reading here it must be more complicated than that.
  10. also worth a try as a workaround is to open a new empty project load a couple of recently mentioned plugins then close project without saving and then try to open the problematic project
  11. Freeze on bounce sounds exactly like the bug introduced in IK Multimedia T-racks 5.2. If that’s the case they recently updated to 5.2.2 and that seemed to fix it. Just throwing it out there because it sounds exactly like the issue I was having with the T-racks tapes plug-ins.
  12. You could try to salvage the recording using izotope RX7 De-clip https://www.izotope.com/en/products/repair-and-edit/rx/features-and-comparison/de-clip.html
  13. You're welcome gnubee. Some great presets in there not sure why they would choose not to include them anymore.
