  1. I found a great computer technician in NYC. His name is Sebastian. His business name is ComptechNYC. He’s located at 220 W. 30th Street, 1st floor in a music store called Rogue Music. Phone number is (347)528-0614. Good guy and very skilled at repairing Macs and PC’s. I highly recommend him.
  2. I have a 2009 iMac, and two Mac Pro's (2010-2012). I'm running into troubles of all sorts between the three machines. I've tried to research my options online but am feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the compatibility issues and the prospect of having to upgrade machines and software. Could really use some help from someone with more expertise and knowledge than I have. Can anyone recommend a Mac expert/consultant in NYC who is both knowledgable and fare? Prefer someone who makes house calls since each system has it's own distinct issues and concerns. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!
  3. Spent at least 1 1/2 hours (mostly on hold) with several different Apple support people today with no luck. They will not accommodate you. If the version is not available on their website they say it's simply not available at all. Apple continues to frustrate me with their bullshit! I guess I'm going to stick with Sierra and Logic 10.4.4 even though I have a problem with Alias regions which is the main reason I wanted to try Logic 10.4.6.
  4. Thanks for the reply Atlas! The release notes don't mention anything about Exporting All Tracks. Still seems odd that Logic (in any version) would export inactive/muted tracks no matter with effects and/or automation or not. I guess if I want this to work properly I would have to delete any and all muted tracks and their content. Seems quite illogical to me. Anyway, thanks for your input!
  5. Thanks for the reply Atlas! I only have a boot disk with LP9.1.5. Was this a known issue with 9.1.5 that was fixed in 9.1.8?
  6. I'm Exporting All Tracks of all projects from an album I produced in 2013. I'm using Logic 9.1.5 to do this since the projects were made in that version and some of the projects did not play correctly in Logic X. When I Export All Tracks As Audio Files with Effects and No Automation or with No Effects and No Automation Logic is Exporting all Hidden/Muted tracks as well as the tracks in use. When I Export All Tracks with Effects and Volume/Pan Automation Logic exports only the visible and un-muted tracks as desired. Why does Logic Export Hidden and Muted tracks in the above scenario?
  7. Not to worry. The app is tied to an Apple ID, you can use it but you can't update because it will ask for that specific ID's password. Thanks for the info Triplets!
  8. Okay, thanks again Ploki. I'll call Apple and keep your offer in mind if they are unable to help me out. Much appreciated!
  9. I haven't had a chance to contact Apple yet since I've been sidetracked with several non-music related projects but will hopefully have time this week to give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion Atlas!
  10. Thanks for the heads up Atlas! I read the linked article and it seems that that bug would not affect me since all of my drives are formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
  11. Maybe the Mac Mini didn't need a firmware update but when attempting to update my Mac Pro to High Sierra I get a message stating that a firmware update will be necessary to update the OS. Also, I recently booted up on an old Snow Leopard drive to Bounce some tracks in Logic 9 (some instruments weren't playing right in Logic X on an old song) and when I tried to reset the Start Up drive to Sierra I too was unable to chose the drive in System Prefs so I had to restart holding the Option key and then was able to select my Sierra drive for start-up. Thanks for the input Joe!
  12. Thank you very much for the offer Ploki! 1. When I sign-in to my Apple account I only see my devices. I can't find anything that proves my purchase of Logic. I purchased Logic 8 when I started on Logic. Then Logic 9 and again paid for Logic X when it was first released. I may have a physical receipt for Logic X, I would have to check my files. 2. I'm concerned that by accepting your offer I may somehow invalidate my legit copy of Logic X. 3. Playing around in Terminal makes me nervous since I am unfamiliar with the language and would have to just trust info that I would find online to make any changes. I find it frustrating that Apple makes these kind of situations so difficult. It seems to me that they should keep all updates available for these types of situations and they do with certain updates: https://support.apple.com/downloads/logic-pro Thanks again for your input and your offer Ploki!
  13. Correct. Great, thanks! Problem is that I never downloaded 10.4.6 or I would have a copy (as I have a habit of making clones for the purpose of reverting as needed) and since people are having some issues with 10.4.7 I'm reluctant to update to that version which is why I was hoping to be able to get a copy of 10.4.6. Oh well, guess I missed the boat on that one. Thanks Triplets!
