  1. Hi Jordi, Thanks for the reply and the solution. It seems I edited the sound 3 times and got that file. Though I still don't have the file I have re-edited the sound to as close as I can get it so that's something and will go and check my .aaz files to see what's there now. Thanks again, Darren.
  2. Hi, I just received this message (above) in Logic when opening a project from 2021. I have changed my computer since writing the music containing this Alchemy patch and did it from scratch as there were problems migrating everything over. The file is from a patch called Beautiful Layered Lead which is actually on my system in Alchemy. The missing file appears to have the keyboard key range B4-A. After searching my computer I found 2 files with a similar name, the closest being (Clean Electric 4 B4-A_1.aaz) situated in the original project folder. I have read that .aaz files are created when importing audio in Alchemy however, the only audio I have imported is what is already in Alchemy so would expect Alchemy to remember this and have the resources to recall the patch. Is it possible someone has this file or is there a way to recreate it? Why do I have B4-A_1.aaz but not B4-A_3.aaz? I have good backups of everything and it's strange that it's missing. I have searched the Alchemy Samples folders and the Plugin Settings folders and recovered other .aaz files since this happened but no sign of the one that I need. Any help or knowledge about this is appreciated. Thanks, Darren.
  3. Many thanks CCT, it wasn’t there by default but after selecting MIDI Instr. in the Layer section I was able to delete it. Happy days!
  4. Hi, I used to own a Yamaha S90 ES piano and now every time I start up a particular project I get a warning: Instrument “S90 ES Port 1” sends to a MIDI port Port 1 of MIDI interface ”Yamaha S90 ES” which no longer exists. I also get this warning when I click on MIDI Preferences in Logic. And if I right click on a track header, in the Reassign Track menu under MIDI instr. the “S90 ES Port 1” appears there too. Is there any way to remove this MIDI Instrument to stop these warnings? Thanks for any help you can give me. Darren. Not sure if it’s relevant but the project was originally started in Logic 9 and imported into Logic X. I searched the the forum for “Remove MIDI Instrument” but the search engine removes the words MIDI and Instrument so I end up with nearly 8000 hits appertaining to the word Remove which isn’t at all helpful.
  5. You posted your problem on an unresolved issue so if it was something that couldn’t be resolved I would use a recent Time Machine backup (from before the problem started), I have backups going back about a year. It’s the best way to protect your system if something should go horribly wrong.
  6. If you had a backup then it would reset your computer to a previous state that was working. It seems that you have never made a Time Machine backup so that won’t solve your problem. In my view restoring from a Time Machine backup is a lot easier than spending a week or a month trying to fix whatever problem you have as it only takes 1 hour. Good luck with your search for the solution.
  7. Do you have a recent time machine backup? If so, start by migrating Logic from it, if that doesn’t work then manually backup anything new since your last (working) time machine backup then do a full restore from recovery mode.
  8. Ok thanks, I expected to be removing more
  9. Yeah I know that but that wouldn’t remove any instruments, samples or settings. There’s more to Logic 9 than just the app.
  10. Hi all, I'm currently running Logic X (4.4) and Logic 9.1.8 (Studio) on my system. I want to uninstall everything to do with Logic 9 without harming my Logic X installation (including Legacy). It's probably already been addressed but I cannot find it in the Forum. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Cheers.
  11. Detune the guitar a whole tone, if the problem is now with your B string then it’s the guitar body resonance, maybe a crack in the body or loose back or the resonant frequency. If it’s on the A string only then check for a loose tuner, check the contact points of the A string (nut and bridge), clean them up and make sure the string fits in the grooves well. You could also try a lighter gauge A string, it will be slightly thinner.
  12. Go to Preferences/Adavanced Tools and turn on Additional Options/Audio. Destructive editing is enabled when you do this.
  13. Delete the index file(s) then reindex, You’ll find them in Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index Only delete the txt files inside the folder, not the folder.
  14. That’ll work Atlas007. Set Colour Notes by MIDI Channel. Set the Drum Track MIDI channel to All then set drum notes to different channels in the Event Editor. e.g. kicks to ch.1, snares ch.2, hi hats ch.3, all toms ch.4, All your groups of notes will be different colours.
  15. It sounds like it might be to do with the guitar’s resonant frequency being at A (apx 440Hz). Try another guitar and if it still happens it’s the room or maybe the mic and if not it’s the guitar.
