  1. Solitude_LPH.zip Solitude_LPH.mp3.zip Hi David, thanks! Here's the project file. I deleted all the other regions so you'll only find midi data on the arpeggiator track (but I left the empty tracks there so you can get an idea of the size and type of the project). Not much to do to reproduce it. Even now with this track only, it plays back with the desired sync inside the project. But once bounced it's out of sync. I'va attached the bounced mp3 to clearly show that. Thanks so much for your help Best -t
  2. Are there any latency inducing plug-ins in the signal chain of that track? Yes. First, is your project start marker set to 1 1 1 1 (at the top, left of your ruler)? project start.png Thanks David! Yes it is, I'm aware of how risky changing that unfortunately is.
  3. I have a similar issue. I am using Logic's MIDI arpeggiator on a piano track. It plays back correctly in the project but when I bounce the track it is playing back slightly out of sync. Can anyone help me solve this? Many thanks -t
  4. Can you file it as a bug with Sibelius Ultimate. If it's not a bug with Sibelius Ultimate they'll give you a technical reason why the have 3 MIDI events and why 120 was stuck in the middle with all 3 having the same timestamp. If they can't give you a technical reason, they'll let you know it's a bug. I could but I imagine it would be very unlikely that they treated it as a bug since other DAWs open it correctly and Logic doesn't. But I could try that as well. Thanks
  5. That's what I've done actually. Right click the midi file itself and "Open with Logic"

  7. Of course, and I agree. I reported this because it's a fairly serious issue as it can really mess up a project and create headaches, especially if the tempo difference is less noticeable that 114 to 120. Since other DAWs can interpret the file correctly I imagined this was a Logic bug that might get fixed in the future
  8. And the thing is Digital Performer, Reaper, Studio One, all open it correctly. Once in Studio One, I exported the (correct) midi from there, and opened that in Logic. Now Logic sees it correctly
  9. Thanks so much everyone for your input. Gacki, I've tried your suggestion. I put a metronome mark of 135 in that spot and exported the midi then. No chance! Logic still sees that as 120!
  10. The file was created in Sibelius Ultimate, using the “export as midi file” with the settings I posted earlier on (maximum quality / resolution)
  11. Here's the midi file. I deleted all the notes in Sibelius before exporting, so that now only the tempo track is present. And again I can confirm that Logic thinks bar 62 is at 120 bpm when it is not, it's 114. final_INIZIO_70.mid
  12. Thank, unfortunately I'm not allowed to share the file...maybe I can try and delete the music but leave the tempo track/signatures...I'll look into that later, thanks!
  13. Thanks...I think it's even more basic than that but I can't understand how this could happen. For example I have this piece that has a middle section at 114 BPM. Every other software opens it up correctly, but in Logic that section shows up at 120 BPM and therefore everything goes out of sync. Do you reckon there's a setting that I should be aware of? for example in the Sibelius "export as midi" dialogue there's a few different options (see attached picture)...do you know if any of those might affect this in some way? Thanks!
  14. Hi all, I'm bumping this old thread I started, as I'm just encountering a similar problem. I wrote a piece in Sibelius, and exported the midi file so that I can open it in a daw. I'll have to mix rerecorde stuff with some of The Sibelius audio (Noteperformer) in the mockup I'm producing. Therefore the audio and midi have to be in sync. Well, if I open that midi file with Logic, the tempo map is not correct: some tempo information is randomly missing, making everything fall out of sync. However if I open that same midi file in another DAW, everything is correct. Is there any setting I should be aware - either in Sibelius or in Logic - to avoid this from happening? Thanks -t
