  1. Hi David, Yes, I'm totally aware of this very inconvenient way which could be a saver in particular circumstances though. Cubase's feature on that is priceless and super fast. Hopefully one day...
  2. No. Unfortunately what I'm talking about exists in Cubase and not in Logic Pro. Simple confusion from my side...Really needed that feature on a project I'm working on right now in Logic. It's time for feature request to Logic.
  3. Hello, I'm sure I've seen and I've done this myself in the past but I really don't remember how. I have let's say 10 audio regions of a kick drum. I want to swap now this sample with another one but keeping the fades and length of region. I remember something like selecting all regions to be swapped and dragging the new file on let's say the first one why holding something like control, option etc. Tried everything without success...
  4. Hi David! Unfortunately that's not the reason although one could conclude to this after seeing my problem in action...But trust me (I'm sure you've noticed) this has been bothering me many years in different occasions and it's something where Logic is weak and there is obvious room for improvement. Btw, you might set main track to "Display Off" and sometimes when hitting "A" it will show Volume lane.
  5. Automation Lanes... 1. I have 5 automation lanes. I have the main’ s track display off. Hitting triangle to unveil the 5 automations. Logic instead decides to show only 4. I reassign all automation in their lanes, hit “A” to hide automation, hit “A” again to show automation (BTW…Logic could show ALL used automation on this track just with shortcut "A"...), hitting arrow (let’ s lose more time…) and again 4/5 automation are appearing. WHY on earth Logic NEVER keeps the last state in the automation lanes and always messes about? 2. Deleting all automation lanes to start fresh….I decide to use main’ s track to display first automation lane, hitting arrow to unfold the rest. All appear and in order. Not bad…Testing it once more, not bad, it works…THIS time (not always). Setting main track to “Display Off” and starting reassigning all lanes underneath to their corresponding automations again like the first time. Hiding automation, opening automation, again, only 4/5 are showing. WTF? And this is an example...I have other projects with many tracks where I spend time cleaning a bit automation lanes etc. Why since ALWAYS Logic behaves like a...with automation lanes? When hitting “A” it would have been better to instantly show ALL automation lanes used in that track and in the ORDER left by the user - btw, you can drag and drop and change position of the lanes. What's the purpose since Logic will decide at the end of the day what to show and when!!! It’ s incredible that you work on automation, you hit “A”, you want 2 minutes later to re-edit, and the lane is gone, you need to again make a new lane and select the parameter to modify. Why? I literally wanted to share this for at least 2 years now but didn’t (still don’t) know if I could be clear on where my problem is although I'm sure many of you can understand Sorry for the attitude but that's most probably what I hate most about Logic. It's a pity for such a clean and easy in the eye GUI to mess it up like that...
  6. Thanks for the confirmation David! Would be great to be able to move to Rec Position both the whole comp itself AND the takes inside it! Will collect more of these to send feedback!
  7. Hello, I was wondering if the fact that I'm not able to move a take within a comp to record position is how it's supposed to be or the option is grayed out for no reason in my setup. Many thanks in advance, Alex
  8. Just did request this feature too via feedback. That must be at least the second time I'm sending my feedback list including this essential addition to the features...Would be great seeing it soon!
  9. Each situation is unique. Can you share a specific situation where this happens, for example with a before and after screenshots describing your issue? How to attach files to your post Also let us know if you choose to delete the automation along with the region? Hi David, Thanks for your reply! To be honest, it's kind of hard to reproduce this because it is annoying on particular cases but helpful on others to be honest. So let's leave it here, I guess I have to find work arounds and shift between automation settings "Never move, Always move, Ask move" depending on the case. I guess what annoys me the most regarding to automation is that sometimes points are accumulated one on the top of the other and need to delete them one by one. Don't know if there is a solution to that. Also I wish I could see ALL automation used in a track by hitting "A". That has been a request for ages but still waiting David, tell them something
  10. Is there a way to stop Logic creating automation points on the edges of the region that is being deleted?
  11. Good news! https://www.zynaptiq.com/macaudioapps/
  12. Yes, I have gave this a try. It's ok for a single instrument but a bit messy when your patch includes more than one. But thanks anyway!
  13. One could reasonably expect the region and its loops to be joined into one single region. Workaround: first press Control-L then J. Hi Dave thanks for your reply! I'm aware of this workaround. This used to be the norm before version 10.4.2 where they introduced: "The "Join Regions" and "Join Regions by Track" commands now convert loops to real copies and join the resulting MIDI regions." That was a great feature executed just with one hit of letter "J". Anyway, nothing to say regarding the little mess with channel strips, patches etc I wrote before?
  14. Ok, so obviously this is an ongoing topic for many years I'm glad! So, ok, the only way to save sends and the actual AUXs WITH the processing plugins, is to create (control-T) tracks for the AUXs. That's annoying because, what if we don't want to make the AUXs apparent in the main window? Moreover this is extremely frustrating, because stock patches do actually load the instrument track (not even sum stack) with sends activated with their correct send ammount and next to them, the AUXs with effects (try Guitar > Acoustic Guitar harmonics for instance). And MOREOVER than moreover, load Electronic Drum Kit > 808 Flex. The hole sum track includes all different drum kits and at the end of the sum 2 AUXs, one reverb and one delay but they to not show in the main window, only in the mixer. This is a MESS! So close to be brilliant and all these little things are so annoying. Something else. Where the hell is the "J" command for joining looped regions? It works on multiple midi region selection but if you select just ONE (looped midi) and hit "J" nothing happens. I'm preparing a feedback to help pointing some of these little glitches
