  1. Thanks, but this didn't work for me I had to reinstall Logic, and voila the folders came back.
  2. I did try the same on my new Mini M1 with no luck at all. In the end, I did try to reset the structure in the hope that the + button comes back and I can start from scratch.... but NO. Then I could see how logic is writing new TEMP files. Since then the Temp Data Folder is empty. Doing Logic since 2006. It's a bit spooky. I did try to repair permissions (First AID in DISK UTL) but its still the same. Did try to reinstall Logic. No success at all.
  3. Hi Folks. I miss the plus button in PM to create my own folder structure. It is gone with the new version of Logic on my Mac M1. Does anyone know how I do get the button back, or a workaround to create my old folder structure again? Cheers A.
  4. Hi Logic Pro Folks. I have a problem which I never had before. I have a few new plug ins which pass the Validation without any error. Now comes the crazy thing. They only show up on stereo tracks, not on mono tracks. All other plug ins work both ways on mono and on stereo tracks, just the new ones do not work on mono tracks. Asked support they have no idea either. I erased the plist. Did Pram reset as well as hardware reset. Erased plug in cache. Nothing works the way it should work. Any hint idea is welcome. THX for your help. Cheers Andy
  5. But you're using Logic 9, a DAW that is obsolete on a modern operating system. Are you using Logic 9 in 64-bit mode? Don't forget Reaper is current. Logic X is current. Yes I do use Logic 9 in 64 BIT mode and my Angst is that Logic X is not a single bit better in the CPU spread. If they cant use the power of the whole computer why buying the software? Yesterday I read an article that people who have 16 cores can only use with Logic X 8 of them? If this is true a powerful mac is not making a single second sense. In other words if they cant solve this problem why should a pro use Logic for mixing? I just today talked to a friend with brand new Mac Book 1,1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core m3. He told me that it still can happen with Logic X too... even with brand new hardware... My gut instinct tells me, before I buy a new Mac and Logic X, to wait what Apple will do to make its "Pro" Software Pro again.
  6. The question is why only one core gets maxed out when using plug ins on the master bus. The other seven cores are nearly unused. Why is logic not distributing the power to all cores like Reaper seems to do it. I have with the exact same Mix/Plug Ins no trouble at al when using REAPER. That shows me that its not the hardware's fault its a problem that Logic only brings to the table!! Anyway I went to a lot of problems with Logic over the past 16 years and Apple always develops its software in that way that you get forced to buy a new computer - even if the old one runs fine. I think I am done with Apple.... thats just stupid if a different DAW can handle this with ease.
  7. trplets you may heard about that you can swap the CPU to 8 Core... for very little money and smart firmware update. Works flawless since years. Some people say my parents are form Germany.... but I know a few people with my name in the US too. That was funny to meet them.... WOHA But back to topic did Apple solved the problem?
  8. Hi All. I have a few questions before I buy Logic Pro X. I am still using a Mac Pro Tower 2007 8 Core with 32 GB of RAM which worked fine with Logic 7/ 8 / 9 a very long time. Last year I switched to EL Capitan (BIG Mistake) and since then Problems with Logic nine started to go crazy. Everybody knows that spiking bug`? Yes you do!! LOL If you use a lot of plug ins on the master bus the 8th core freaks out and you get that error message, that logic cant sync audio and midi data. I love nearly everything about Logic but this spike bug I have nearly in every third or second session which ruins the workflow, it makes working impossible. I have no idea why logic 9 cant spread the calculation power on all 8 cores, what for are them? But sigh this bug is as old as LOGIC is. The one and only question I have did Apple solve this spiking madness in Logic Pro X. If yes I will swing 230 bugs this night otherwise I will learn Reaper from now on. Thanks for answers.... Cheers Andreas
  9. Hi all. I went from OSX 10.6.8 to El Captain but in a wise moment I still kept my old 10.06 HD like it is. Everybody told me I can do it and I am save to switch to Logic Pro X soon. OK... I went to El Capitan and the first few days everything worked like it should be. But out of the sudden with 10.11.5 in Logic 9 crazy things start to happen. The main bug is the click track only works if an audio or midi region is running. No audio no click noise. The wired thing is you can see the click working at the interfaces output, but there is no sound. As soon I switch, in the audio preferences, back to the internal audio output the click is there. I double check this on OSX 10.6.8 and the click is running there without any flaws. El Capitan is a big mountain in California but a not so big OS? I did try many fixes as well as erasing the Klopfgeist and creating a new one in the environment but NO success. My guesswork its an core audio problem caused by Apple with the RME software which is up to date. My last step would be to set up a complete new system and installing everything new without using the migration tool. Any help is welcome!!
  10. [ 1. No the Problem appears. Deleting the pref. does not help in anyway. 2. This should mean that all my projects are corrupt which are running under 8.0.1 with not a single problem. Also this theory would mean that every new template I create new under 8.0.2 is corrupt. Sad but true Logic 8.0.2 is doing something wrong on my system......
  11. Jay thanks for your will to help me for free. Which prefs i should trash??? com.logic??? 1. NO 2. Yes does not help in any way. The Problem is constant not depending on which project I use or create a new template.... it is always the same problem...can not move them around.
  12. I think I answered this in another forum. This is NOT a Logic bug. It is system specific to your rig. So if you think so what should be the problem? I have a clean system here only for audio. Repaired all disk permissions. Cleaned up the system.... No way this bug relates to 8.0.2 under 10.4.11 on Intel Mac.... If I go back to 8.0.1 it is gone. I am working with Logic since 6 years never had such a basic trouble. Am I missing any new switches in the environment???? Thanks Andreas
  13. So I was happy to see many bugs have been fixed under 8.0.2 But I have the feeling Apple is going one step forward and two steps back. Very simple things are not working anymore under 8.0.2 and I still have work to finish. 1. Cant move any more channel strips while mixing in the environment. 2. When using programmed strip settings the environment is going crazy layers different strips over the next etc you can not see the special order you have made to come fast forward with your mix. 3. Using the Logic Mixer window now is awful. In 8.01 the order of the strips where following the order of the tracks in the arrange window. Now everything is messy. Does anybody found a solution for this problem? I am again very un-happy with the so called PRO DAW. Apple should take care of basic functions!!!!! How can I get back to 8.01??? Thanks in advance....
