  1. OK, I've done some changes on this one. How's the mix this time around?
  2. OK thanks for the tips. I'll see what I can do about tightening up that guitar line and def turning down the delay.
  3. Christian, truly appreciate the feedback. What about the mix is off? I think I've listened to it so many times that I have the blinders on a little. Thanks
  4. Also tips on the levels and the mix in general would be a great help to me.
  5. Hey everyone, I'm working on my collection to hopefully soon submit some tunes to a few production music libraries. Could I trouble you fine fellas for some feedback on this tune? Much appreciated. My motivation was mellow, relaxing, consistent. Nothing too fancy. Hope this workz: 'Evening Stroll' http://soundcloud.com/greatbowlsoffire/evening-stroll
  6. Hmm really? I just tried it on my end and it seems to unzip fine. Since it was zipped with a mac there will be a folder called _MACOSX but you can just delete it. Otherwise all should be good. You on a PC or Mac?
  7. Hey All, I've been getting lots of great samples and instruments from this forum so I wanted to give something back. I made some EXS24 instruments from samples of my five favorite patches on my Sequential Circuits Six-Trak analog synth. This was my first time working with samples and I enjoyed it thoroughly. There are other cool tones on this synth so expect some additions in the near future. Hope you enjoy! http://www.grimmdude.com/sequential-circuits-six-trak-samples-and-exs24-instruments/
  8. Awesome, thanks a lot for the work man. This will make a nice addition to my collection.
  9. Hey everyone, I was just looking for a little advice on my technique on my most recent song, "Irish Song" http://www.myspace.com/garrettgrimm I recorded the guitar with an AKG Perception 100 about 6" away near the 12th fret and used the same mic for my voice. I EQed a lot of the bass out of the guitar, it's a crappy Yamaha so I think I might have a polish a tird type situation with that. But just wanted to get a feeling of what you guys thought, it's hard for me to judge since I've listened to it so much. The piano sound is just a logic sound and the synth is a Sequential Circuits Six Trak just recorded directly in. I could use some advice regarding reverb and compression, just trying to make my songs sound cleaner. So thanks in advance! http://www.myspace.com/garrettgrimm
  10. I love it man, really speaks to me. Good job!
  11. Really? hmm that's wierd, I can see it. Maybe it was still processing, check it out again!
  12. Hey everyone, just put the finishing touches on this song about my favorite food. It's called Roasty Beof, let me know what you think. Cheers 8) www.myspace.com/garrettgrimm
  13. Oh and while I'm kind of on topic, does anyone have a recommendation for a decent midi drum pad controller? Right now I'm using an old analog synth with a midi out and it doesn't have velocity sensitive keys. Plus it seems like it will be a lot more cohesive to program drums with pads.
