  1. Come on M3 owners, send in your results! 😊
  2. I don't know how I managed to miss that, but that's exactly what I was looking for. Perhaps my eyes were fixed on the "Automation" section of the menu. 🙄
  3. I'm talking about any automation, track or region. I don't know what constitutes a "classic midi track", I'm using the external instrument plug-in. If I record any parameter on my synth, it is stored as events. I can see them in Event List, and in Step Editor too if I choose Lanes > New Lane Set from Current Events. I need to convert these to automation (or even better, be able to record them as automation, which I'm sure should be possible with a MIDI controller).
  4. So notes and CC events can be quantized in Event List, but in Step Editor it is notes only. What's the logic of not allowing to apply to both?
  5. Looks like the issue has disappeared overnight. I will let you know if I can find a reliable way of reproducing it.
  6. If by normal you mean what is the most common situation, sure. I could also argue that normally channels shouldn't be muted, yet I think muting is a useful feature.
  7. Sorry, I wasn't clear in my initial post that the issue occurs with control change events only. If region quantization doesn't and shouldn't apply to CC events, then I guess we can forget about that (although I'd like to know why). However, the Functions > Quantize Events (Q) command still doesn't work with CC events in Step Editor. Is that by design too?
  8. I am testing it with MIDI Monitor and it is inconsistent. I'm looking at All Sound Off messages: Sometimes it is triggered by playback reset and sometimes it is not.
  9. The one in the Region section on the left.
  10. Resizing the region by dragging the end handle of the region in Piano Roll results in inconsistent region lengths. To reproduce: Create a region. Open Piano Roll. Grab the end handle of the region in Piano Roll. Move the region towards the start of the region. Repeat and try moving the cursor at different speeds. The point where the region stops shrinking doesn't make much sense. It seems to vary depending on how fast the region end is being moved to the left.
  11. Adjusting the position of a control change event that's outside the region is broken in Event List. To reproduce: Create a region. Open Step Editor. Create a Lane (should be Volume by default). Write a Volume event close to the end of the region. Resize the region end so that the event is no longer within the "visible part" of the region. Go to Event List and select the event. Adjust the position of the event in Event List by dragging or typing. Try to move it anywhere but inside the region. The event jumps at the region's end position no matter how you try to adjust it. Note that the issue does not occur with MIDI notes.
  12. Quantizing events doesn't work in Step Editor. To reproduce: Create a region Open Step Editor Create a lane Write an event Set the timing of the event slightly offbeat for example using the Event List Select the Quantizing accuracy in Step Editor to 1/4 or similar Make sure the event is selected and from Functions select "Quantize Events" (or press Q) The event is not quantized. 13. Positioning the playhead in Step Editor by clicking on the ruler doesn't seem to work right. On every click the playhead jumps into another position, and only by holding the mouse a bit longer than a simple mouse click will put the playhead where you clicked. A shorter click can result in leaving the playhead in the jumped position. To reproduce: Click on different positions in the ruler in Step Editor, try between quick and long mouse clicks. 14. Ah, I didn't mean to use Smart Controls, I don't know why they got mapped into those. If I create another zone, selecting the software instrument track doesn't seem to dump controller data into my hardware synth anymore.
